How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Shower pressure was a bit weak. Our room was supposed to have a window but it had a smoked glass, so you could not see through at all.
Clean and modern hotel that provides all the necessary things you need while traveling. Breakfast is light with coffee, juices, yoghurt and fruits and super fresh pastries straight out of the oven every morning!

The fact that you have to ask for a hand towel makes you wonder. Is it because of the limited space? Is it because they have to buy some more towels? In any case, a full body towel (which is what you are given if you ask for a hand towel) does the job, but is not optimal. Once in a while, a bad smell comes out from the air vent (we stayed at -1 floor).
Convenient location, close to metro station. 24h market right across the street. Decent breakfast, although nothing "English" in it. Clean room, very comfortable bed.

There were no tea facilities in rooms, however you could buy tea or coffee in reception. It would have been good if there was a free vending machine for drinks in a communal area.
Staff were welcoming, the room and communal areas were spotless. Breakfast was excellent.

The rooms were only cleaned every three days. I understand the reasoning for that, but it should be done every 2 days

Windowless rooms aren’t the best, and paying no extra for one with a window always seems a weird choice to have to make.

Could hear the underground slightly but did not keep me awake. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room but available in reception
I went to drop my bags off before checkin but my room was ready so allowed to check in early. The staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful

Take a note they have no free electro adapters, but with a charge of GBP 5,00 only. And there is a -1 level rooms without windows. There are small rooms there, but okay for such a location and price for London.
Good location (Paddington station is in 5 min walking distance, Gregg's breakfast spot just in the corner, Tesco supermarket on the other side of the road, pretty good restaurants are on the river side and near Paddington as well), friendly staff, breakfasts on site.

The breakfast was tasty but there were not enough chairs/tables for everyone to eat it in the space provided, so lots of guests were standing around waiting for a space. It made getting breakfast a bit tricky.
Great location near Paddington. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The only issue I had was the noise. I was in the basement and you can hear and feal the underground in the room. Not super loud but enough o make sleep a tad more difficult.
The hotel was excellent. facilities, comfort, breakfast were all fantastic

Our room was very small but was clean. There is nothing else bad to say.
The staff were super helpful and friendly. The location is great, about a 3 minute walk from edgeware Road tube station. Breakfast is continental but plenty to choose from. Few pubs close by and a tesco express across the road

The bed was a bit tired. There were only two bath towels in the room and no small towels on which to dry your hands.
The staff was very helpful at check-in. The room was small but clean. The room was mostly very quiet, although you could hear the rumble of the tube beneath the hotel. The hotel is very well-placed for Paddington Station.
