Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesVery minor - would have liked an extra towel hook in bathroom so towels could dry out faster. Would have been useful considering they don’t clean the room until day 3. But wasn’t a problem, you can ask for new towels.
Very conveniently set up for people looking to soak up as much of London as possible. AKA, lots of great details in the room so two people could get ready at once (lots of mirrors, hair dryer outside the bathroom, hooks on walls for some clothes, enough space by window for two suitcases to remain open, usb chargers by bed, safe, etc.)

United KingdomThe rooms were too small for us with limited space for storage, but if you are only staying one night or are a lone traveller it would be ideal. In fairness it did have a queen size bed which was very comfortable.
There is lots to like here, it very clean and well maintained, all staff were friendly and helpful and location was really convenient, with two tube stations within a five minute walk.

Quite affordable hotel in a convenient location. A short walk from Paddington station. Check-in and check-out are quick. The room was quiet.

AustraliaThe staff were fantastic, we discovered we had left a very valuable item behind when we arrived in Australia, we contacted the hotel - luckily for us the housekeeping staff found it! We arranged for couriers to pick up the item & the staff assisted us without any problem. Breakfast was included in the price and it was lovely, simple but very enjoyable, very pleasant enjoying breaky watching the world go by :) Staff assisted us with taxis to shows on both nights - nothing was too much trouble.

We were happy: quick check-in, nice breakfast, nice, friendly and helpful staff, good beds, higher up and at the back of the building as requested insured a quiet room and good night sleep. Great location, close to two underground stations and a train station and in walking distance of (fot example) Hyde Park and nice restaurants.

TurkeyBeds are not comfortable but it is ok. When were arrived we made check in 4pm, room was not ready at 3pm(check in time) In our first room air condition was not working but they chance our room next day.
We had some problems but staff were very friendly and they solve our problems. All staff are great, hotel location is very good, breakfast is good.

Very good location, close to underground and bus stops. Breakfast was tasty, however, keep in mind that there are mostly sweet options. Our room was spotless, especially bathroom facilities. We did notice a slight noise from the passing trains but you really need to listen closely to hear it, it wasn't a problem for us, it didn't bother us at night. The staff was always there to welcome, help and advise us, very professional and nice people.

SwedenFor some reason it was impossible to pay with a Mastercard through Booking.com, but after contacting the hotel directly they helped us solving the issue of paying. Missed a wardrobe in my room.
Nice and tidy hotel with excellent and very helpful personell. A good startingpoint to everything: shops, cafés, restaurants and sightseeing. It was easy to find a taxi on the street to take you around London and close proximity to Paddington Station made it easy to hop on the Express train to and from the airport .
