Loved the lively atmosphere, welcoming staff (especially Noah who checked us in), easy to find location and quiet next to a park. Comfy bed and very good shower. Would recommend!

A little noisy for those that are light sleepers but for us it was ok. It was very busy as 2 major concerts/acts on in cardiff, no fault of the hotel of course!

Room was a lovely big size! Lovely atmosphere and decor although room could do with a touch up of paint here and there. Tea and coffee tray was excellent! Shower was amazing!! Shampoo hand wash etc smelt lovely. Location was really good too, excellent for the stadium and about 25 min walk to the arena but its a lovely walk to it so wasn't worried about that. Very close to the castle and shops too.

The building has a pub in the ground floor and the rooms are above that but that didn’t affect us at all. We were on the top floor with a view out of the back so no noise disturbance from anything! There is also no hotel parking. We were lucky and found a spot in Cathedral Road but could be tricky in busier seasons?

The location and the room itself were fantastic. Great value for money. It also has dog friendly rooms and we just had to pay an extra £10 for our pooch.

Don't bring a lot of luggage, since there are stairs but not a lift. There is access to the hotel day and night. But know that you'll need to leave via the fire stairs if you have a very early checkout.

This was my second stay at Pontcanna Inn. Comfortable room and friendly staff. Added bonus was insulated windows that helped minimise issues with street noise and room temperature. The "cozy" double room, which I stayed in this time, is quite compact. I would have preferred the spacious larger double, which I stayed in last year.

The bar was a bit noisy (because of the acoustics) They'd run out of ice cream No free period products available We liked the drinks facilities in the bedrooms, but it would've been nice to have 1 or 2 herbal teas, and biscuits

Shame we didn't realise breakfast wasn't included. The hairdryer didn't work and neither did the replacement one.

The location was great. Loved the pub, good atmosphere. The rooms was really nice , well decorated and clean. I would recommend it to friends.

The Inn is also a pub, this means that has customer and music until midnight and the rooms are not really sound proof. If you are light sleeper, you may find this aspect a little upsetting.

The staff is really friendly and always ready to help. Excellent location, just a few minutes away from Bute Park and the city centre. The area is lovely, with plenty of smaller restaurants and other pubs to visit during your staying.

The hotel is actually an amazing place. You live just above a pub and it was amazing. We had lots of fun interacting with all the other patrons. The atmosphere of the place is not rowdy at all, in fact they have a family style dining place with a garden and a truck that sells pizza??!!!! Great place to stay. I'd visit cardiff just to stay at Pontcanna Inn.

Really great historic property. Very good bathroom and large spacious room with all the amenities available. Good side entrance allowing for entry/exit without having to go through the main bar.

Room was a ‘cosy’ room. It was nice enough but we are used to a bigger bed, so was definitely cosy! Only a rail for hanging clothes but no hangers.not an issue for an overnight stay but if you were staying for longer then might need to ask for hangers.

We have stayed before, it’s just out of the city centre but in a nice neighbourhood. Convenient for an overnight stay. Room was clean and functional, nice decor, coffee and biscuits. Shower was amazing!

The bed was lovely & soft. The best shower I have ever had in a hotel in my life! The staff were fantastic & it was such an easy check in & checkout.

Breakfast was served later than I would have liked. 10am, I had things to do early that was the only inconvenience of my stay.

The location was excellant for my needs. The room was beutifully decorated and the bed was very comfy. Service from staff was excellant, any issues I had were resolved and a bit extra :)

Parking was a problem. The hotel has no car park. Could not find any nearby free on street parking. Lots of cars and very few available spaces. Had to pay £20 for 24 hours parking on nearby public car park which I felt was excessive.

Great location next to the park and a short walk to the town centre. Good size room. Bed was very comfortable. Lovely big and clean bathroom tastefully fitted out. Very nice bar. Hotel was very clean and well furnished.

Hard to pick anything I didn't like. An option for late check-out would be great addition.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. I liked the decor, great vibe! The staff were all lovely, very friendly and helpful. Fab location too as it's so close to the city centre and rooms are very reasonably priced.
