Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Excellent room. Everything was available and how one would expect it. Not luxurious but sensible size , bathroom good and cupboard space too. Food satisfactory for supper, but expect London prices. Lovely view of the Thames and vibrant local atmosphere. Staff kind and helpful, ready to go the extra mile.

United KingdomRooms and property feel like they need a bit of a refresh. Some money spent on updating the property would go a long way.
The rooms are small but clean and the bed is comfortable (as well as the shower being good). Customer service very good at the hotel. Julia on reception was very helpful and allowed me to use the Conference Room for video calls well after I checked out. The club sandwich from the pub/bar is exceptional - one to try.

GermanyThis is combining the best things of England, Super friendly and uncomplicated "unposh" service, nice decorated room with good bed, every day fresh bottle of water on the house (also a nice stocked minibar, coffee machine etc.) in a cosy end of Twickenham, bus stop in front of the door, directly at the Thamse and good starting point to walk the Thames path (if ever you want). Good pub food and cosy chairs and sofas (in case you do not want to eat). If ever my travels bring me towards Twickenham again, quoting Terminator "I'll be back".

United KingdomOnly hiccup we had was the music from the bar one night. It would have been courteous to advise the guests of the party and maybe offer earplugs. It was mentioned to staff the next day and an apology was made.
Excellent location. Easy walk into Twickenham. Bus stop straight outside of the hotel. Room was excellent. The shower was so easy to use. House keeping staff were very helpful. The bar staff advised on transport which was very useful. We only stayed for breakfast one morning but it was lovely.

United Kingdomwe stayed for 2 nights and unfortunately the room had too much sound spill from the bar below and what has to be the loudest floorboards I have come across in the room above. Sadly it kept us up all night which was not great as I was there to speak at a conference and had booked the hotel for good night's sleep. I will add that they responded rapidly and moved us up one floor for our second night which made a big difference.
Friendly staff and great location. thought we had issues the first night, upon being made aware of the issues in the room they moved us to a different room. We are grateful for this quick action and understanding.

United KingdomThe WiFi signal was very weak, there was no TV signal and I couldn't operate the internet on my phone either. Breakfast was mediocre at best, the buffet option was limited and the poached eggs tasted of vinegar. Room for improvement here.
Very comfortable and spacious rooms, the honesty mini bar was a nice touch. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. The room was nicely furnished and the bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomThe road is quite noisy outside the hotel but this is to be expected from such a central location.
The room was very big and I thought the mini bar was a nice addition. There were also some homemade biscuits and some bottled water in the room. The toiletries were also gorgeous and so scented it made the entire room smell.

United KingdomA little more attention to the finer details will really set this hotel apart. An example is the cracked and chipped basin in the bathroom (not a show stopper, but noticeable amongst a high end and modern décor). Another is the flimsy satellite connection to the TV. A simple fix for myself and others who are technically minded yet I expect the majority of people would assume the TV or satellite is broken and would complain to the hotel staff. Again - these are minor details that did not detract from a wonderful stay.
A large room with separate seating and dressing areas was a bonus, giving our 5 year old daughter space to play whilst also allowing my wife and I to relax in comfort. The bed was a little hard for our preference but we still slept well. Quaint touches to the room included bits of history of the hotel and surrounding area in the room as part of the artwork and the wonderful porthole windows. Our daughter loved the windows in particular and made her feel like she was on an adventure at sea! Location is great as well. The hotel has free on-site parking and you can get into the centre of London in about 30 minutes, with a bus stop right outside the hotel. We enjoyed dinner during our stay and the food was sublime with a good selection for children as well. We expect this to become our go to hotel whenever we visit London from now on.

United KingdomThere were little things that annoyed me....the shower made the entire bathroom floor wet, the main light was broken, the iron leaked water and then caused all the sockets in the room to blow out!
Location was ideal seeing as we were attending the rugby, it was also a 5 minutes stroll from the high st which was lovely. The room was huge and very clean and the staff were nice.
