Just FYI… You have to be prepared to park a little way from the house but we found one plenty of places to do that after driving up to drop off our suitcases.

Location was brilliant. Right in the heart of old Whitby at the base of the 199 steps, and minutes from the beach and the amazing cobbled streets with their fascinating shops and eating places. Tim and Julie were so kind and helpful, wonderful people. Our two friends from the YSA had a great time staying there too. We all loved it!

there was a draft through the room; not enough to be unacceptable in april but as the heating was off it made the room cool the bathroom is very small; whilst that is not an issue in itself, the basin was in a corner, and the shelf protruded over it to the extent that care was needed not to bang your head when using it

as close to the abbey steps as you are going to get very clean room and excellent shower communication with hosts was quick and easy bedding was very warm and comfortable matress

The location is superb and very strategic: surrounded by cafes, pubs, and local amenities, very close to 199 steps and Whitby Abbey. The room was perfect for the three of us, the beds were comfortable and clean, the bathroom was spacious and clean, and toiletries (towels for 3, hair/body and hand wash) were provided. A kettle, teas, cookies, and coffee were provided (if possible, please also provide decaf coffee). The host provided clear instructions so our check-in and check-out were smooth. Overall, we love staying here and would like to come back in the future!

The location was perfect. The room, bedding and towels were pristine The instructions for check in were clear and the Wi-Fi and tv were easy to access. The shower was lovely The bathroom was spotless. We had everything we needed.

There was an issue with the lock on the front door which was quickly resolved with a phone call to the owner. In room 1 there is a big glass door which, on the morning (light mornings) let a lot of light through which woke us up extra early.

The accommodation was finished to a high standard and very clean.

Fabulous location right at the bottom of the 199 steps. Communication from Tim was great letting us know the room would be ready earlier and tip of were to park. The room was ideal and modern perfect for us with our daughter. Well presented, very clean and comfortable room. We would recommend this for anyone looking to stay in Whitby, we will definitely be back as great location, exceptionally clean and comfortable room and great value for money.

There wasn't anything to dislike

Location is perfect, right next to the 199 steps and all the local shops are walking distance. The bed was very comfortable, room clean and bathroom freshly updated.

I wasn't able to open the window for fresh air. Can be noisy due to being very close to a pub and a passing place for visitors, but that would be most places in Whitby.

It was a lovely sized room with all we needed for an overnight stay. Great location to be within walking distance of all amenities. Wi fi, tv and tea/coffee making facilities. Towels and linen provided. Private bathroom with shower. Clean. The communication from the property host was brilliant, and he was very helpful.

Easy to find and access; room was impressively clean and very well maintained; the location was ideal for exploring Whitby and we loved the quaint cobbled street and being able to watch people beginning their trek up the 199 steps. Lots of nearby coffee shops and cafes provided lots of choice for breakfast. Communication with the managers of the property was efficient and timely. Will definitely book again if we can!
