Bedding on one of the beds had a blood stain. No headboards on beds so couldn't sit up in bed. Minor issue...

Room size was good, we had adjoining room for family. Both rooms were good doubles. Bathrooms clean, nice modern decor. Was 25 minute drive to Alton towers.

    • Couple
    • Superior Double Suite
    • Stayed 1 night

The seating in the lounge was too small, plenty of room for a 2 seater for more comfort. A toaster would have been handy. The bar was too expensive to fully enjoy

The shower was amazing. Enjoyed the tea/milk provided. Bed very comfortable. The bar was very nice .

Self check in was easy but could do with a little more signage. Shame restaurant wasn't open Monday and Tuesday.

Great location for the purpose of my stay. Nice modern, comfortable, clean room. Excellent Sunday lunch at the restaurant downstairs.

I've arrived during the reception hours (19:30) and no one was there, I've tried to call the phone number which was write in the closed front desk but no answer for more than 45 minutes... I was exhausted after a whole day in Alton Towers...

It was close to the station, the room was clean and the security staff of the whole area was so polite and helpful.

After reading the important information again, I noticed the £50 deposit which is required. Having to wait up to 14 days to receive the money back is a bit of an inconvenience. Surely once the room has been cleaned after checkout the money should be refunded instantly.

The room and property was very nice, comfortable and clean. The parking was free due to the parking machine being out of order. Would definitely stay again, for the area it won’t be beaten on price.

There was only one bedside lamp for 4 beds. A toaster would have been useful. The corridors could have been vacuumed more often.

Very comfortable beds. Convenient and atmospheric restaurant and bar downstairs. Good security with outside doors accessible with the room card. Free on site parking.

Great - love the fact it’s the old Spode Works as I remember it when it was a pottery!! Great use of a fabulous old building

Could only be improved with a bench for luggage and operating instructions for the induction cooktop.

The apartment had an industrial asthetic in keeping with the Stoke-on-trent history. It was super clean with fresh finishes. Carpark was very secure with a friendly security guard on main gates which closed at midnight. Large windows provided bright space.

Only thing that was a little annoying was, that there were no hooks or towel rail in the bathroom to hang your towel. Oh and our door key cards stopped working at one point but was soon rectified.

Very comfy bed, nice decor, good TV, powerful shower and decent flush on the loo! Having a mini kitchen with fridge was really handy.

Fabulous good-value place to spend a night or two, with lively (separate) restaurant downstairs
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Two-Bedroom Apartment
    • Stayed 1 night

Parking is a huge issue as the Quarter restaurant is very popular - there are other car parks in the vicinity but that's not what you want when staying overnight at the hotel. The formerly-public car park over the road is now privately owned so no longer an 'overflow' option. Not a 'complaint' but worth knowing that hotel staff are available only by phone and text message (they are responsive) - i.e. there is no hotel reception. It's really a rented apartment / room where either a key box or restaurant check-in is required to get the room keys (cards).

Two ensuite bedrooms linked by a small galley kitchen makes a good set up for sharing space with friend(s), having a coffee etc. Kitchen has plenty of glasses, cups, bowls and washing up products. There wasn't a communal space in our apartment (other Potbank apartments do offer this - if you need sitting area, make sure to book one of those), however there were two armchairs in one of the bedrooms which meant we could sit in group and not on the bed. Nice clean modernized rooms with good ensuite shower rooms. The separately owned and run Quarter at Potbank restaurant downstairs is great for quality and sizeable breakfasts, and is a Mexican restaurant in the evenings (advisable to book) - plenty of atmosphere and good service there. Info on how to get room key from lock box was texted beforehand, and the person at the end of the texts was responsive - hence easy to get into the apartment.

Would have liked a washing up bowl and more milk. The water was too hot to shower for long but warning label was prominent. Loved the music coming from below but the info said live music only on a Friday and Saturday. May cause a complaint with other guests. It’s a shame the area is not well invested in. Few opportunities to eat out. A bus timetable and route map in the info book would have been useful

Loved the quirkiness of the place and history. The size was perfect for a couple or lone traveller

Nice room in a nice building. Easy to get in with clear information. Plenty of free parking and an easy walk into the town centre. The stairs were not a problem but could be for someone with heavy luggage or who finds stairs difficult. Would stay again.
