Great location.. we caught the bus into Winchester from outside the hotel.. Easy and no worries about finding somewhere to park. Ate in the restaurant in the evening.. plenty of choice and good value.. Breakfast in the morning was very good with good quality ingredients.Staff were all friendly and helpful

There was a bit of a sewage smell around reception area. Nobody was on reception desk when I arrived maybe due to the smell! There were many dishes not available on the dinner menu.

The only issue we have which is quite a big negative is that there was mould and mildew around the bath grout and bath handle also around the tiles. Maybe supply the cleaner with mould and mildew spray.

Presentation of the venue was very nicely decorated with Christmas decorations, the staff are always very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and evening meal was lovely. We will be back.

Restaurant service chaotic and slow. Average food, a little disappointing all in all.

Spacious rooms, much bigger property than appeared on the photos. The staff are outstanding.

Duty manager was quite stroppy on the Saturday night telling people that the bar was closing. Started telling people last orders at 10.40pm and around 10.55pm said loudly I’ve asked nicely but won’t ask so nice next time. Thought it was unnecessary as there weren’t many people there to start with.

Bathroom grout in between tiles and sealant needs refreshing. I did not have breakfast as I thought it is £5 too expensive, I would have paid £9.95 for breakfast, maybe something you can reconsider to bring additional value and a fuller experience of the PH facility

Nothing springs to mind !

Right from the 1st sight of the hotel we were very taken, but a surprise awaited us on entering, the size of the hotel belies its size and depth, much bigger than 1st impressions. The staff were very courteous and friendly, the hotel was very well presented, plenty of space to move around. Good size comfortable bedrooms.The breakfast is a buffet style which allows you to enjoy as much as you desire, the choices on offer are also excellent. All in all I would definitely recommend !!

Scale around the kettle, I stayed for 4 nights, and had to ask for someone to empty the bin and give me fresh cups

Strong smell of drains in reception, bathroom wall around bath not clean but mouldy and lots of brown marks in grouting. Breakfast was horrible and not worth the money at all. Sausage was charred and dry (tasted like it had been rehheated for days), black pudding tasted rancid, poached egg had very strong vinegar taste and there was a hair in my mushrooms.

Comfortable bed, nice sized room, good room temperature. Staff friendly.

Smelt damp or possibly drain problems 🤔 Hairs stuck to the tiles in the shower from previous guest with very black hair

Potters Heron needs some refurbishment, Bathroom was tired (but clean), carpets need replacing, tired single glazed wooden windows in the Bedroom (can understand these in the Bar, but not in the "modern" brick built accommodation block.

Breakfast buffet was good, good quality Bacon and Sausages, Towels in the room were good and staff very pleasant. Room was quiet, easy parking and good location.

Given the wrong steak at dinner and charged the higher amount Menu state large glass of wine is 175ml I was apparently given 250ml and charged accordingly so dinner was £10 more than expected and I would have ordered a £10 glass of wine, reaction was oh sorry,
