How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

A little difficult to find. Satnav took us to the main road but the hotel is on the industrial estate. Fortunately the receptionist I had called to advise of my late arrival time had told me where to go. It could maybe do with a sign on the main road to show guests where to go
First time I have been here, but I was impressed. Not the easiest to find and not exactly a pretty location but don't let that detract from the visit. Exceptionally clean. Comfortable bed and an excellent shower. All of the staff I dealt with were polite and helpful. Will certainly use again.

You will have to go down to the reception to ask for a dryer so be prepared to do that before taking the shower.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel itself as it says in the description, is very basic. It got everything you need though not bad for the money.

Not that I didn’t like it, however I think the place is missing a trick not having a kitchen due to they’re not really being any places extremely close by.
The reception staff were first class, extremely welcoming and very good communicators. The rooms including furnishings and decor were exceptional, great attention to detail took from the cleaners to make sure everything is spotless.

breakfast would have been a bonus but i knew before booking this wasn't an option, however there is a mcdonalds not far, vending machines in hotel, and if you need food ordered in there are takeaway menus available and staff happy to help. Although we didnt use there is a kitchen with fridge and microwave guests can use. there wasn't much toilet paper in our room however reception supplied more without a problem and asked if we needed anything else such as extra milk or coffee for our room. check out is 11am which is fair.
great location for the kelpies, within walking distance. staff very nice friendly. 24hr reception. quiet stay, no street noise at all as hotel is located away from the main roads. was lovely seeing lots of little rabbits running around nearby, as we walked to the kelpies. staff called our taxi when we checked out.very laid back friendly hotel. kettle tea coffee milk biscuits in room.

The only welcome addition would be the option of food/drinks on site (although there is a vending machine and seating areas on ground floor)

Back of the car park, where some rooms look out to, had trucks parked in it and the guys were pretty noisy listening to music. It was the only thing that bittered the stay as they were outside my window until 10pm and I was studying. Also, other patrons slamming doors on the floor and then walls! But it didn’t affect my sleep!
Location was ideal for what we needed, low cost but had every thing you need- comfy bed and a locked door! The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, facilities are just what you need! Very cosy and slept brilliantly!

For us there was nothing to dislike…the location is a bit out of the way on an industrial area and there are no shops bars or restaurants close by but we were aware of that before we booked,the hotel does allow take out food and there is a communal kitchen,but even so we still had a great stay.
Everything from the reception staff to the lovely big twin room was great,the modern bathroom had everything we needed and like the whole hotel was spotless clean.We had tea/coffee facilities and a large tv..Wi-Fi was very good.We would definitely stay here again it’s such great value and easy to get to local attractions.

24/7 reception, friendly staff, hot chocolate in room, big shower, decent rooms. Hotel did offer a variety of takeaway menus that would deliver
