In the heart of beddgelert, lovely little village, beautiful scenery, lots of walks / hikes to do close by. Staff friendly, lots of rooms to enjoy food and drink and a sizeable outdoor area. Rooms were also great comfy beds.

We ordered breakfast in plenty of time to get to Portmadoc for a train - or so we thought. As it happened we had to change our travel plans due to the breakfast taking the best part of an hour to arrive. When it came it was great, but I wish we had know it was going to take so long. The hotel was very busy both with guests and locals enjoying the hearty breakfast so perhaps it was a shortage of staff? The second morning was similar, although it was much quieter. Absolutely wonderful breakfast though! One last thing - we wish we had been in time to sample the pizzas (which looked great!) before they sold out ... both nights!

The location was perfect for the places we had come to visit. The welcome was very warm and the room, overlooking the river, was delightful. Tea and coffee aplenty and very cozy. This hotel is certainly very pet friendly and this seems to draw in a lot of trade. We dog owners are so grateful these places exist and are so welcoming to our furry friends.

Hotel had no on site parking because of its location but on street parking will be very difficult during peak holiday times. The rooms were very small, windows were screwed shut pillows were smelly.

Superb food and large portions. Location is great. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The price was expensive for a small room and no breakfast included. The toilet was leaking so we had to have a towel on the floor the entire time. The food in the pub was ok but a little basic. Desserts were limited.

The location was amazing. The staff were nice. The pub itself is quite pretty.

Breakfast was excellent on 1st day but not very good the next but overall that wouldn’t put me off as it was a lovely stay overall.

Seemed like it was recently decorated and looks lovely which is hard work for an older building. Comfy bed and fantastic shower after a day in the cold!

Our room was quite small and dated and not like the ones pictured. No chair. The check in was a bit odd, the young people behind the bar where we checked in kept having to go find a manager to answer questions and get us checked in. It was a bit noisy, could hear others talking and some music at night. We had one Sunday roast dinner that was okay, the only thing offered on a Sunday evening. The vegetarian version wasn't great.

The location is great for exploring the town and hiking in the area. It was comfortable and clean. Parking not on premises, but staff pointed us to an area across the street.

Room decor was dated, paint chipped off the built in furniture, faint smell of cigarettes even though the rooms are non-smoking. Could have been from other rooms in the building as not terribly strong but for a non-smoker quite noticeable.

Spotlessly clean, with modern bathroom and comfy beds. Location was perfect and beautiful view of the river. Huge TV with netflix etc. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Had a share bathroom, but it was very clean and lots of toliet rolls and clean towells

The room was above the bar and we were a bit worried about noise from the bar and traffic. But it was very clean and warm, at closing time not any noise to worry about..in fact i slept until 6.00am and we had a dog in the room

The wording on the booking site alluded to a private bathroom which was in fact shared. Would have gone elsewhere if I'd realized. Parking was about 200 yards/metres away with no stopping place outside to unload luggage.

Good customer service, comfortable and clean room, hearty breakfast, great views.
