Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomShower wasn’t the best.. but that wasn’t a massive issue
Fantastic hotel rooms that are above a pub. However these are in a separate section as such and in a lovely part of the building so doesn’t feel You are in a pub. Room specialist, clean and tastefully decorated and food and drink in the pub downstairs were excellent and great price. Staff really welcoming

AustraliaThe only thing that could have been better was for a washing machine to have been onsite. However there is a drop off/pick up laundrette not too far in the main street.
A great little pub with excellent accommodation. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with all the amenities required. The staff were fantastic and made our stay even more enjoyable. The pub is walking distance from the train station which made it easy to get into and around London in less than 30 minutes. I highly recommend this hotel.

JapanExperience the sights and sounds of inner-city living without central London's frantic pace. A boutique hotel room at The Prince of Wales Townhouse is ideal for discovering London. The location couldn't be better. A short stroll from Hammersmith Broadway's convenience and a minute from King Street's vibrance. Quiet enough to relax and well-situated for stress-free access to central London. Ravenscourt Park tube is just around the corner, and handy bus routes stop right outside. The warm, cosy rooms are perfect for visitors who enjoy casual simplicity with a sprinkle of luxury. Clean, uncomplicated and maintained by a friendly, welcoming team. Their genuine interest in making your stay easy, comfortable and enjoyable is refreshing. If you want a formal hotel experience, the Prince of Wales is not for you . But it is perfect if you want the personal boutique touch. The Prince of Wales's crown jewel in the pub. An extensive selection of cask, keg and bottle beers from artisanal producers is a welcome sight at the end of a busy day. Discovering London is all about enjoying local beer. The Prince of Wales strives to avoid the generic beer range that other pubs offer in the area. And it not only succeeds in this, but also exceeds visitor expectations. With the pub's own Big Smoke Brew Co. beers on tap, the Prince of Wales is the perfect place to enjoy the best of British beer. And there is excellent hearty pub food to satisfy the hunger in fervent city explorers. Staying at The Prince of Wales Townhouse is a joy. Even before check-out, we started arranging next year's stay. We wholeheartedly recommend it.

NorwaySome of the soft furnishings were a bit tired, stained. There was a contact lense on the floor by the bed which had been missed by the cleaner.

SingaporeCleaning could definitely be taken up a notch. We found previously used sheets on the pull out bed and hair in the carpet which made us question the cleanliness more broadly. We were given new sheets to make up our own bed - fine for the price we paid but better not to expect hands on support and service.
Location, space in the family room and price. we stayed in the tower hill room which was quiet and spacious. Friendly and down to earth service. Agree with the sentiment in other reviews that this is a ‘pub with rooms’.

FinlandRoom was quite small and there was a lot of noise coming from the street also during nights. It's an old building so you can hear pretty well through walls and the window are not airtight. Didn't bother us too much though. Carpeted floor and some of the surfaces probably needed a bit cleaning.
Good value for your money, nice little townhouse with a lively pub downstairs. Super friendly staff. Nicely decorated rooms. The food and drinks were good in the pub and they have a nice outdoor terrace. They have live music nights, live sports etc. in the pub and all kinds of little events. There's an easy access to city centre (Hammersmith tube station is 5min walk away). Nice area in overall, we enjoyed our stay.
