How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Large street nearby with a lot of cars. Few pubs and bars in the area.
Next to public transportation - overground and tube. Large Sainsbury's store and Waitrose nearby. Very kind staff that helps you out.

Really good location, close to tube station. Bit of a tired building outside but inside it was clean and up to date. Check in staff was really friendly and nice. Room was good, beds very comfy, and everything needed was there. Breakfast was quite nice although in the basement. Good value for money.

The rooms were cold and the heating only come on after 5 and then only very cool there was no gluten free bread or milk/yoghurt substitutes

Attention to small details like kettle in the room and spoons in the mugs weren’t the cleanest.

Room on the top floor at the back of the building so it was away from traffic noise and we were able to open the window for fresh air. Bed was comfortable, however a standard double bed which is small

Only one thing missing after a long day travelling I would have liked an evening meal here. Fortunately this Hotel is not far from town where I was directed by staff to a fabulous Italian restaurant literally only ten minutes walk away. There were other alternative restaurants available but I was very pleased with this.

Receptionist was brilliant on iur arrival despite having to deal with a difficult phone call. She was upbeat and positive towards me. Had recommendations of where to eat and places close by.

Only thing was breakfast wasn’t hot it was sort of luke warm.
The property was brilliant location for my wife who was in the royal free hospital. One overground stop away. The people on reception were so friendly and helpful as we are not from around this location they really helped us out. We also got parked at this location which was brilliant.

The TV remote control batteries were very low - had to wiggle them to get them to work.

No bin in the room. In room 209, the bathtub drainage is slow; I have to pause and wait after turning off the tap. It's quite chilly in January. The bed feels a bit too soft.
The room is clean, and the location is convenient—only an 8-minute walk to the underground. The breakfast is enjoyable, and I commend the staff for their excellent service during breakfast, diligently ensuring there's enough food. The room comes with coffee and tea provisions, a nice added bonus.

Breakfast wasn't very nice as we came down a bit late at 8.30am. Might be better if we were earlier so it wasn't as stale. We found the bed uncomfortable but that might come down to personal preference.
The free car park was extremely useful and the hotel was nice and quiet. The room was very clean. Staff were very friendly and there was always someone there 24hrs a day. Great location near plenty of shops and places to get food. But out of the way enough that you don't get disturbed.

The single beds are narrow and I rolled off the side a few times. The TV was glitching every so often. The bacon was a bit overcooked to my taste and I didn't like the sausage.
Location is one of the key points of this hotel. Reasonably priced and the staff are welcoming and helpful. The bathroom has a bath and large towels. Added bonus: the mirror lights up. Great for applying makeup. Great 24h bar area. Strong WiFi.
