Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. SpainThe cleaning should be improved as they missed to wash sofa blankets, bed pillows didn’t all smell fresh and the bathroom wasn’t at its best either. Apart from that, no complaints and would stay here again with those little implements :)
The apartment is very nice, cozy and modernly decorated. It has all the amenities you need and I really appreciated that they had free Netflix. The building is very old but if felt safe enough. The owner was also very nice, responded to our concerns very fast and also went out of her way to accommodate our needs on check-out day.

NigeriaWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at Quantock Lodge! From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to assist us at every stage of our stay. Their hospitality was truly exceptional. The studio apartment itself was a delight - beautifully designed and impeccably clean. It provided all the comforts of home and more. We especially loved the convenient access it offered to nearby tourist attractions, supermarkets, and charming spots. Quantock Lodge proved to be the perfect base for our family vacation, allowing us to explore the area easily while also enjoying a cozy and inviting space to relax in the evenings. Our heartfelt thanks to the host for making our stay so memorable. We can't wait to return and make more wonderful memories at Quantock Lodge!

GermanyOn booking.com the road isn't spelled correctly, it is Frindsbury road not Finsbury Road and it states checkin until 8pm, which is not correct because it doesn't matter when you pick the key from a box... The bathroom and the floor was not clean! The whole appartment had a smell like old carpet and I had to wipe off and sanitize toilet, sink and bathroom floor, the paper was grey afterwards.. Little blobs of paint an carpet and walls. We had booked for three persons but the sofa bed was not prepared and no bedding to be found. Shelf in bedroom partly broken, pullout of sofa bed didnt work corrctly. Also we didn't finde the access data for the free wifi so could not use it.
We got the correct address and the code for the key box on day of arrival, so "checkin" worked very easy and late in the night! Free coffee and tea
