Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt would’ve been good to have had a small iron and board in the room.
It was a continental breakfast in a spotless kitchen on the same floor of our room. There was plenty to choose from and well stocked. The location of the hotel was perfect and within walking distance of most things.

United StatesThe bed was very small and the pillows were bolsters not bed pillows - It is difficult for a couple as the bed is against the wall so one person has to climb over the other to get up in the night
Staff were wonderful!!! Good breakfast options - good coffee!

GermanyThe pillows are way to high to rest a head on. If people walk by the room it’s very noisy, almost like there’s no door at all. Also the breakfast is more like a hostel with little choice and in the common kitchen on each floor. You’d sit on a smallish table with the other guests.
Great location, big room and could check in early.

United KingdomThe room was very hot. The provided fan helped with this, but it wasn't particularly warm weather and would be uncomfortable in the summer. We removed the duvet from the bed. It was far too noisy outside to sleep with the window open. The food at breakfast was mainly supermarket value branded cheese, ham, pastries, cereal, fruit and toast. It was adequate but nothing to write home about. There were only 6 chairs in the kitchen, so have to time it well to sit and enjoy your food.
The location was good. Around a 10 minute walk from city hall, shops and restaurants. A little further to the river, and around 30 mins to Titanic quarter. The size of the room was excellent. The bed was comfortable but small for two adults! The pillows were far too large, but they swapped them for flatter ones for us with no problem. Continental breakfast is laid out in the kitchen on each floor. The coffee was excellent and there was plenty of food, with gluten free options also available.

United KingdomBeware it charges £25 for either an earlier arrival OR a late checkout. Late check-out only extrnds for 3hrs more ending at 2pm. I didn't pay for this but decided to use a co-workingvspace which charges £24 for a full day. The room would be small if being shared by a couple with considerable amount of luggage although if you are no planning on using the desk, you coulld pit your suitcases underneath the table. There is a bit of mould on the silicone innthe bathroom but nothing drastic. Being particular about words, was not impressed the onmy art in the room was a framed word art that defined Buck Eejit as the irish word for an idiot.
The hotel/accommodation was located in the city centre and a walking distancd from most of the attractions. There are a number of restaurants and pubs also in walking distance. I didn't eat the breakfast provided since I had to catch up on sleep but it id continental brekfast with fruits, pastry (although not freshly baked), juice and teo types of cereal with milk provided. The room was on a smaller size with the bed squashed to the wall. Bathroom was clean. Staff on day shift was a kind and professional melaninated lady who eas helpful. It has a lift for those woth luggage or any temporary or permanent mobility impairment.

United KingdomRooms were quite hot and opening the windows lead to a lot of outside noise from the road during the night. A fan was provided in the room which was great.
Great location, room was the perfect size for two. Continental breakfast options were great, and easy to access with one kitchen on each floor making it quick and quiet to help yourself.

United KingdomIt had Student Dorm vibes in terms of the layout. But was quiet so don't let this put you off. Parking was difficult. On street parking was limited but we did find a safe car park nearby, about 5mins walk.
The location. 5mins walk from the Cathedral Quarter where you will find lively bars and restaurants. We couldn't hear the noise from our room. So wasn't a problem.

IrelandWe did not like the pillows. They were extremely hard and high. We did not like the ceiling. It was concrete and was simply unfinished. Car park was a bit tricky to find as most places were full. Also, no free car park of permits from the hotel is poor. The car park was costly.
We enjoyed the location, very close to all amenities. Clean room. Nice welcoming young Indian lady at reception in the afternoon. We would return again, good value for money.
