Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomRoom was a bit small, strange layout and you couldn't open the door to the bathroom properly as it got stuck on the floor. I didn't find the bed comfortable at all but that's personal preference.
Hotel was in a great location for west end and shopping. The toiletries in the bathroom were nice. Was adequate for a one night stay. Room was quiet.

United StatesUnfortunately the first room we were in had a major water issue when the room above had either a toilet or shower problem - it was raining in our bath and we had to be moved - but not at 5:15 am when the rain storm started! The night manager was very nice about the situation and said he would have gotten us another room but i said no to moving in the middle of the night.
Pretty good location for the price of the room. We could easily walk to many sites and if we had been given the Transit Map when we checked in versus the last day (both our & staff’s issue) we could have taken better advantage of the subway in getting about. Since i was traveling with my daughter it was great that we could each have our own bed! Many other hotels only had single bed options.

United KingdomThe hotel took two hundred pounds deposit and said it would just be pending however the card took the money and my daughter had to be rude the receptionist to get the money back on the card as they were saying it would take 7 days after initially they said it wouldn’t be taken. Unfortunately my daughter isn’t the best at holding in her emotions when disappointed.. the money was put back on the card immediately however shouldn’t have been taken in the first place. Apologies for my daughter’s rudeness as the staff were lovely and not their fault. It’s a big room deposit to pay in my opinion.

Very professional and friendly staff, the receptionist made checking in very quick and easy. Room was a little small but comfortable and modern. Beautiful bar and lovely to relax in with a coffee or a cocktail. Great location for visiting British Museum, Covent Garden and central London.

IrelandI didn’t like that it took 3 attempts at 11pm to check in, each time re-inputting everything including the deposit which was debited 3 times. Head receptionist assured me it wouldn’t, infact he was quite offended when I mentioned I must check it. My superior room was tiny much smaller than advertised, thankfully it was for 1 night.
Breakfast room and service was excellent. Food was great too.
