Long waits at reception

Very comfy bed with nice pillows I left a computer charger behind and they saved it for me and found it quickly when I came back for it.

I personally did not like that the windows opened onto the shopping centre and not to open air. But there is air conditioning in the room so it might not bother everyone. Being a shopping centre facing room also means music from restaurants is noticeably loud inside the room, although it got turned off about 9.30

Beautiful reception and bar, the room was lovely, big and modern for this price range, bed very comfy. All the staff were great.

We had an issue in the room as no phones where connected, this was only discovered when we had an issue with tv - which would not load any channels. So as I couldn’t contact reception AND because we were only given one key card which is also used to work the lift. I had no choice other than to walk 5 flights of stairs to raise this issue (I left my teenage daughter in the room as she in the bathroom as without key card I didn’t want to leave her in the dark room) so walking back up the five flights of stairs was “interesting”. The maintenance team attended quickly but could not get phones working. They did eventually get some channels on the tv by working some magic. I was grateful for something rather than nothing, both were really helpful and clearly hard working. We were told a new phone would be sent up! That never happened and my concern was raised that this could be a health & safety risk should there be issue with fire etc. but it was never resolved. The young gentleman who had just come on duty did offer us a free drink or food for inconvenience. But as we were at a concert it was way too late to order anyway and we only stayed one night. I raised the issue about the phones x 2 and the tv to reception upon Checking out. And I hope this has been resolved for room 515. But I left worried that it wouldn’t be. This was a superior room and we loved that it was very private and a huge almost suite type room. To sum up we use Radisson Blu in many locations but on this occasion the lack of attention to detail was disappointing and inconvenience with the issues raised would make me alert if I stayed here again.

Location for first direct arena and train station is perfect. Quiet hotel and felt safe, decor and staff first class. We stayed here one night in a superior room to attend a concert. No breakfast on this occasion as we like to eat brunch at Bills Restaurant (can highly recommend)

Unfortunately the shower did not work properly in the room so washed under a trickle of water. But the reception team did note it down when we checked out.

Great location, we were visiting the First Direct arena which is not far. Lovely big spacious clean room.

The hotel room was very dusty. Work tops looked as if they needed a wipe down and the curtains were dusty. The electric also went off in the middle of the night. We weren’t notified that they were having an issue, which just left us confused. & also uncomfortably warm as the air con couldn’t be controlled without the electric.

I loved the decor and how modern the room was. Very spacious room and the smart tv was great.

Shower heads were a bit dodgy. But we managed to get them sorted.

Room was very big and comfortable, Tea, Coffee facilities available also Hair Dryer and safe Bed was very comfortable also, noise levels very low. All in all a very good experience Staff very helpful and friendly

Staff cancelled our room card while we were out for a coffee even though we still had an hour to check out! When I went to the desk for help I was told well what do you expect it’s almost check out time, I thought this was a very poor attitude and was furious to hear it!

The room did have a slight musty/damp smell but is a problem in a lot of hotels i have visited. Quite a limited choice of options for room service. Room was a fair size but could do with a lick of paint and a few touch ups as you could see wear and tear but that didnt effect our stay.

The staff were amazing and so kind. The hotel is great location and nice atmosphere. The room service was fast reasonably priced and tasted beautiful! Loved that we could cast our phone on the tv and the beds were 10/10 comfort.

Perfect location and places to go within short distance. Parking at The Light was easy and within the same building. Room was nice, even without external windows (internal atriums nice and light). Check out of 12:00 perfect for a lazy sunday morning!

No fridge in room, would have been more of an issue if we had stayed for more than one night. Bad smell in room like it was coming from drains. (Room 341)

We returned to the bar /reception at 10.50 expected a last drink and was told by a member of staff that the bar had closed for the evening . Very early in my opinion for a city center hotel .
