Building a bit old and cramped. Rooms and furniture are quite old and need to be renovated. Could be much better for the price.

Excellent breakfast!! Top location near the tube and museums.

Not so much of a dislike, more of a confusion. It is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside and the corridors are a little bit of a maze. But so long as you follow signs you’ll be absolutely fine.

Great location on Cromwell Road. A minutes walk to Gloucester Road Tube Station and a very short walk to the Natural history museum and South Kensington. The staff, upon my early arrival, were very accommodating and managed to check me in a little earlier than the original check in time which was very handy.

The lift is minute, it felt cramped with 2 people and 2 small suitcases. Often a long wait. Staircases are narrow, dark and steep - but it is a town house so that is to be expected. Steps up to front door.

Handy for the Albert Hall. Easy to get there on tube. Very smooth check in and check out.

The lighting over the desk area could have been better. It was a little difficult to work from the desk.

The room are spacious and well equipment. The hotel is quiet and centrally located along the Piccadilly line.

An unfortunate altercation between bar/restaurant manager and a customer took place right in the middle of our meal. Raised voices and argument. This should have been dealt with away from public view. Made worse as there was no apology to anyone in the lounge. Embarrassing to witness and uncalled for . Manager maybe needs more training?

Lovely hotel and friendly welcome. Room was large and comfortable. Lounge bar area very pleasant.

The rooms were small, no electrical outlets beside the bed, they need to give more attention to housekeeping as we stayed for 11 nights and the sink was only cleaned properly 3 times only.

The location and proximity to nice cafes and restaurants

There wasn’t any bedside lights so reading in bed was either by the main ceiling spotlights or not at all.

Very clean, our room was super quiet and the deep carpet along the hallways really helped to keep noise to a minimum. We asked for a twin room and despite constantly getting a worrying message ‘we will do our best to accommodate your request’ we were given a twin room. Much relief. Housekeeping topped up supplies daily and did an excellent job. The window opened which was much appreciated as many hotels have sealed windows and air con has to be used. Reception staff were professional and courteous. The hotel is in easy reach of the Royal Albert Hall (why I was there) and the History and science museums as well as being near tube stations.

Everything was good except the ventilation system downstairs which was too loud the whole night. And it was written that the bar is open till 12, but it worked only till 11.

Anna at the reception desk was very helpful—special thanks to her. I left my glasses in the room, she took care of returning them to me. For the breakfast for me as I do not eat meat and chicken the choice was not very good.

Our bathroom could have used some updating. The toilet didn’t flush properly and the shower leaked even when the shower screen was across (we did inform the staff) The sofa in the room was very dated and the stairs we climbed to our room were quite awkward to carry a case up and down them.

Staff were lovely and helpful, even remembering drink preferences. Location was really close to museums and The Royal Albert Hall.

The room was spacious but located next to stairs. The window was looking towards a backyard and was just above a supply door/entrance. It was very noise every time a supply was delivered, also after 22.00 and before 7.00

The room was very small. Big gap under the door that I had to block with a towel to stop the light coming in at night. Skirting boards need a paint Bedside cabinets had bubbles all in the paint.

The location is just great! Close to underground station and in easy walking distance to sightseeing's. Really cool. Further it had good restaurant. Rooms were clean and cosy. Rooms were cleaned every day, where new towels were provided. If you want to stay in a victorian style house is the right place.

Very good hotel in a perfect location, just 2 min walk to Gloucester Road Underground Station, which serves for 3 lines. Walking distance to South Kensington and Knightsbridge. If I got a chance, I'd like to book here for my next visit to London, highly recommended.
