Room - pillows were too firm and gave me a crick in the neck. Fusion restaurant was disappointing - the service was poor (we felt that we were an inconvenience) and the choice of food was very limitied (allergy to shellfish, meant that I could not have anything fried even if it did not contain shellfish as all fried foods use the same oil). If we return to Ramside we will not be dining in Fusion.

Room (Suite) was spacious and excellent value; Rib Room Restaurant was very good, both service (nothing was too much trouble) and food (my wife had the 'best' steak ever) - excellent wine.

The spa facilities should be available for more than an hour if staying, especially if it’s not busy. Quite noisy in the corridors so had a disrupted sleep. Hairdryers not great.

Rooms are comfortable. The food In the fusion restaurant is unbelievable. The only bad thing is you only get an hour in the spa and have to prebook which isn’t like other spa hotels we’ve stayed in.

high price and only using spa for 1 hour I think 2 hours should be allowed and I think if room is 300 plus you should get breakfast the new years eve gala in golf venue was a lil tight that you could only have one small slice of cake

Lord of devices with lights in the rooms, and doors are very much not sound proofed, you can hear people walking and talking quite clearly which took a bit of the luxury away. Also found it quite complicated to actually get a spa pass organised.

Decor was very very nice, food was great. And location is very close to central Durham but with a countryside feel.

Abit disappointed it is advertised as SPA access but really you can only use the swimming pool. No one explained this to us so we did end up using the main spa before we were told by one of the pool side assistants we couldn’t. Ordered breakfast for between 9-9:30. Came before 9 and staff banging on the door to deliver it.

Room was a great size, meal at the rib room was very good value. Swimming pool changing room and area is nice.

The size of the room and bathroom was perfect. The bed was very comfortable. The food in the restaurant (Fusion) was really nice, breakfast was good. The coffee was very very good 😁 Me and my boy enjoyed the pool very much. The staff were helpful although a few of them are inexperienced but no major issue.

Cleaners cuboard outside people in and out all night banging doors etc woke me up about 3 times also in morning in and out banging door ,would not be easier to keep door proped open until they are done in cuboard
