Bed not that comfortable and small room up a lot of stairs - big crack in wall a little disconcerting.

Great central location in Oban. Completely independent check-in and check-out with great instructions and communication. Very clean and new bathroom.

The apartment was very comfortable and we liked the fact that it was so well equipped and we could make our own food so easily. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was amazing

Only one set of towels for 2 night's stay, would have preferred two sets. Very tiny en-suite.

En suite cramped, sink small and placed too close to the toilet. Inadequate storage for clothes. Table for making a drink too small.

The property was very clean well decorated but the room was bit on the small side. However I would definitely stay there again.

Toilet/shower room was a bit cramped but served it's purpose.

Issue with booking dot com sending the pin for the room key, but a quick phone call to the owners and he had it sorted straight away. Room was excellent comfortable bed and less than a two minute walk from the main street.

I was staying in a room on the top floor and it was small, not a major issue as we were only in the room to sleep.

The location was spot on and the bed was very comfortable. Great shower also.

There are no facilities on site and there was no staff to speak to. The heating didn’t work well which meant the room was extremely cold for December - no extra blankets or duvets. It was somewhat expensive for not having anything on site and the rooms were very small - we should have been in a bigger room apparently from the booking so if this was a bigger version I feel the budget rooms would be tiny. I’ve stayed plenty in Oban and there are properties around the same price with better facilities and people on site if anything goes wrong. Check out time was also very early.

It was a nice property in a good area - close to shops, pubs and restaurants. Room was clean and tidy and provided with tea and coffee.

I had one concern is that I had to lock the door,when going in and out of the building.it was the only way out incase of fire.

the on site parking is plus. also that your near to town centre.

I was surprised no one was here - I expected a reception and a kitchen with the bed and breakfast feel.

The room was very comfortable, clean, and updated. Parking was very convenient. I'm glad I picked a room on the top floor (just remember there aren't lifts).

We were not welcomed by a person at any time during our 2 day stay. We were sent a message through the Booking site with a code to get the room key. No one came in and serviced the room. There was a coffee pot with just enough coffee for the first morning. I messaged through Booking to get more coffee and was ignored. At some point the next day I was sent a message telling me only requests sent between 10 and 3 were answered. This was the first I heard of this. I realize it is a self-catering unit but I have stayed in places that were self-catering before and always had access to a remote host who could answer questions. I was also always welcomed by a person who handed me the key.

Raniven was located a short walk from the main part of town where restaurants and shops are located. The room was clean, the bed comfortable.
