The electricity used during your stay was charged for separately, I would have preferred this to be included in the price or to have been informed of this before booking. We didn’t see any staff during our stay although there was a number to phone. I was happy to collect the key from a drop box but would have liked to see a member of staff on checkout.

Site looks run down and buildings need looking after. Carpark not next to the buildings and in poor condition. No wifi on site and poor mobile signal so not good for business trips. Showers were cold. Mattresses are not very comfortable.

Cute little cottage house with everything you needed, very clean and quiet traffic wise. Comfortable twin rolling beds so could make a double if you wished. The fire alarm was very sensitive apparently so we just opened front door and window when cooking.

The reception was remote as no-one was on site to receive us. This is clearly normal as there is a well established arrangement for picking up the key. The vehicle access to the apartment (for loading/unloading, not parking) wasn't clear. Not a huge issue, as is often the case you just have to orientate yourself. Importantly - given information provided on the website- the restaurant was closed. It wasn't clear whether this was permanent or long-term. We were quite happy to manage without, but prospective hirers need to know.

Quite a find at a reasonable price. All the comforts expected and everything we needed for our short break visiting family. Self-catering suited us because of the flexibility and it was cheaper than all other options. Being based on a golf course was a bit intriguing for us non-golfers! But it was very peaceful, and conveniently loctaed.

Bit of a treasure hunt to find the key, and even more of one trying to find the apartment. Definitely needs more signage from the main road! Apartments look tired and dated and the bathroom had no shower screen. Could not adjust the water temp either in the shower.

The only thing to criticise was the fact that the summer is over, and that the duvet on my bed was so thin that I could not sleep. There were no extra blankets, nor counterpane, that I could use to help the situation without having to rouse the housekeeper. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

The quiet location was good, and it was a pleasant apartment in which to stay for a couple of days.

Found disused tissues in the bed sheets which is pretty vile. The apartment was clean but the whole place needs a bit of TLC - cracking paint and looking shabby. Needs a good paint just a good power wash, the nuts and bolts are there just needs tightening!

The double bed in the downstairs bedroom, I didn't try the single beds upstairs having opted for the double room, that might have changed had I tried the bed first ! Unforgiving would be an accurate description and the pillows were very thin, I required three to get my head level because the mattress wouldn't flex enough to accommodate my shoulder. An extended stay would have required some intervention on my part. Checking in was easy once a member of staff has been located but there is nothing on any of the doors in the clubhouse which mentions where to check in, at least not when we visited.

The chalet itself was clean and very spacious and was a very nice surprise. There was an en suite for the double bedroom which I wasn't aware of when we booked which was a nice bonus and three double sofas in the lounge area along with a dining table and a very well equipped kitchen. We were only there for one night but the property iteslf was easily sufficient for a multiple night / week stay.
