The house is located in very nice surroundings, close to the undergound and shops. The personnel is great, nice and helpful in every aspect. Breakfast is served 7-10 which is great if you want to travel early.

I have an amazing stay, the staff is friendly and helpful. It’s very peaceful and the park near by is great to visit and for refreshment. Cleanliness is well in spot, very tidy. Self help breakfast in the kitchen is excellent idea and everything was available. Easily excess able Parking with in the property. Overall Excellent hospitality. Thank you Team

Hot water was scalding and no window restrictors, not a problem for us as we were all older but dangerous if young children staying. In fact we liked the hot water for the temp of the shower but be careful if young ones travelling with you and washing their hands

Very friendly staff on arrival, really informative. Room very good size with kitchenette and fridge (was in attic room) continental self service breakfast served with stay and location perfect for our stay. Would definitely stay again., excellent value for money.and comfortable.

I wish we had the Harry Potter room! We had a sneak peek and it looks amazing.

Spot on for a weekend stay, the rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable and the welcome warm. Fridge and microwave in room - bonus. The help yourself breakfast was perfect for our needs, and the location was great if you don't mind a bit of a walk for the town centre (about 20 mins), and the delightful (and enormous) Cassiobury Park is virtually over the road. If and when we return to Watford we would definitely return.

We felt very welcomed when we arrived and Marek was very flexible with us checking in as we arrived quite late. The room was very cosy and spacious, the beds were very comfortable and everything was clean.

Only issue we had was we could hear every footstep from the room above which was quite loud, but not a deal breaker.

The Harry Potter-themed room was very well done with plenty of thought gone it to it. The location was a short walk from the main centre and only 10 minutes from HP Studio Tours. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, particularly Marek, and the breakfast facilities were very good too.

We stayed in the ‘Harry Potter’ themed room. The room has been done an exceptional standard, with so much to see. With fabulous surprises everywhere. It’s a must for any Harry Potter fan. It is a bonus that it is only a 10 minute drive to the Harry Potter tour. Mikey (the manager) and all the staff made us very welcome and had very goof knowledge of local facilities. There were so many personal touches made for us by the guest house team that made our stay all the more special. The room was more than big enough for 3 adults and would be big enough for a family of 4-5.

They were refurbishing parts of the building. It would have been helpful to know this prior to arriving as I felt like I was initially walking into a building site. To be fair to the owners, the refurbishing did not disturb our stay at all. Also make it clearer on the website about the wizard room. We honestly thought that’s what we were booking. The staff treated my children to some Harry Potter goodies to say sorry for the confusion.

It’s a good size. Clean. The staff were friendly. Good sized parking. The room was a good size. It had a kitchenette, shower room, double bed, single bed and sofa bed. Perfect for me and my 2 kids. Everything was provided like towels and bed linen. And when we arrived the staff couldn’t do enough to check we had what we needed. We’d made a mistake with our booking and they couldn’t do enough to help. Continental breakfast was great. You could just help yourself and there was a good variety of food available. The breakfast room was clean and tidy.

We have travelled all around Europe (as a family) but we never encountered such level of professionalism, kindness, attention to detail and client orientation as we encountered at Ricky's. We stayed for one week (7 nights) and we cannot recommend it enough. Marek (the manager) went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything that we need. Thank you so much, Marek! During our stay it was my son's birthday and when we got back from Harry Potter studios, we found the room decorated for a birthday party, with a cake, sweets and presents. Needles to say that we were speechless. The Wizard Room was very big, very clean with absolutely everything that you would need for a short/longer stay. The matresses were very comfy, the kitchen was fully equiped and the room. was cleaned up every day. It is much more than in the photos:) I recommend Ricky's with all my heart as it was an amazing experience.

The bed was slightly uncomfortable and the springs were hard to get comfortable on in the mattress.

It was clean and tidy. The breakfast options were varied and plentiful. The staff were lovely and warm, welcoming. It was in a great location, close to the town centre. The room was large, spacious and clean with plenty of accessories/treats.

The only thing that I might suggest is having some fresh vegetables (tomatoes, pepper or cucumber) for the breakfast offering. On the other hand, we were happy with the selection :)

This was the absolute best experience I have ever had with a guest house or a hotel for that matter. Sam and Marek went out of their way to give my goddaughter the best Harry Potter themed birthday they can - they even had a letter from Harry Potter, some small gifts, balloons, etc. I was simply amazed by their friendliness and the room was also simply amazing, really everything was HP themed and we loved it soo much!! It was clean, well furnished and we could not really ask for more in the room! Cannot recommend it enough!!!

Small cozy hotel with responsive stuff. A room has everything for a good rest: fridge, microwave oven, kettle, etc. Inside the fridge, we found two bottles of still water which was a pleasing surprise for us. Within walking distance, the Tesco Express, 15 minutes and you are in the city center with different shops and coffees. Special thanks to a guy who recommended us to use the WB Studio shuttle bus instead of a car and we had a chance to see the city while were walking to the train station.

Fabulous guest house, staff were all wonderful nothing too much trouble Marek is a lovely host. Great location handy for tube and train station.. The room was big and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was lovely too lots of choice.
