The room was sold as a family room and we received a text warning us of their strict no noise policy after 9pm stating that we could be asked to leave if we did not comply. This is very hypocritical when our family room was above a bar that was blasting music until after 11.20pm with no soundproofing! The walls were literally vibrating and our children did not get to sleep until the music had ceased.

The village was nice and the apartment was lovely and clean.

Very loud music playing until midnight and our 6yr old and 4yr old couldn’t sleep as it felt like we we in a nightclub. The room was shaking it was so loud! Very disappointing considering the main reason we booked was because of the quiet policy from 9pm that was in place. Ironic. Multiple cars blocking parking on arrival and parked in front of the fire exit. Cars were moved once this was raised though. No bedding for sofa bed but staff were helpful getting this when needed. Broken towel rail and toilet roll holder that fell of the wall but thankfully didn’t injury our child.

Unfortunately we weren’t able to stay as they didn’t have a cot - we have a 4 month old and were flying out the next day and couldn’t bring it in our luggage. We were glad we checked so we could find a safe alternative but it was unfortunate to lose the £170 as it was within 24hrs and they were not flexible.

Hob did not work. Heating too hot (managed to turn down in living room but bathroom too warm). Noisy neighbours in other apartments. So very thin walls. Water was scaled so tea not great. The room I thought I was getting based on the pictures was not the same room. So that was why I was mainly disappointed.

Place was very clean. Crisp white linen and fluffy towels. Complimentary coffee and biscuits a bonus. Close to M&S. pub looked nice and lively. Costa close too so great location for self catering.

I have stayed here previously during lockdown and was very pleased with my stay, however this time was awful! The restaurant beneath the room is now open and was extremely noisy with doors slamming and loud shouting from staff etc until well past midnight. I contacted customer services at 00.20 to complain and they said they would try to keep the noise down. However I had to be up at 5am so this was little help after I had already missed out on half my night's sleep. There is a strict noise policy for guests but why does this not apply to the restaurant? I wrote to the customer service after my awful stay to give them a chance to apologise and they haven't even bothered to reply to my message.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT AND WILL ASK FOR A REFUND. I ASKED TWICE, A MONTH BEFORE MY BOOKING AND 2 DAYS BEFORE AND REQUESTED A QUIET ROOM, NOT A STREET VIEW ROOM, AWAY FROM ROAD, I WAS MET BY A QUITE A RUDE INDIVIDUAL IN MY RESPONSE. WHEN I GOT TO HOTEL I WAS GIVEN A ROADSIDE ROOM AND I COULD HEAR CARS DRIVING BY AND CUSTOMERS COMING OUT OF PUB VERY NOISY UPTO MIDNIGHT. SECONDLY THE PILLOW CASE WAS DIRTY WITH A STAIN AND THE BATHROOM TOWEL HAD A GREASE MARK ON IT. There was a chair in the room which I sat on and the legs were all loose and wobbly and I did not feel safe sitting on. But far worse and this was the state of the mattress which must’ve been well over 10 years old almost collapsed down the centre and was like a mattress that you saw on the TV programme “Slum landlords, Rogue tenants” it was absolutely gone and incredibly flat and worn out that was in a hotel room £100 a night?? Lastly was the soundproofing in the room when doors were closed in the other adjacent rooms the whole room shook through vibration and you could hear the people talking in their rooms coming and going upto 1am so it was awful very noisy. This is an awful hotel and no way should be charging what they are. The decor and furnishings are nice and the walls are clean but the mattress needs to be thrown out pillowcases are dirty, towels are dirty it’s very noisy and I requested twice one month before and two days before my booking for a quiet room and this was not on it. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Please see photo of dirty pillow case.

There is free parking but only 4 spaces for 6 rooms, and competition from the neighbouring restaurant. Our room was over the restaurant's kitchen so we didn't get to sleep till the restaurant closed. Very noisy plumbing, sounded like a water hammer each time the heating pump kicked in. So we were woken up at 6am.

Room neat and well appointed. Nice balance of traditional roof beams and yet modern furniture. Ensuite very clean and well presented.
