Nothing, everything was perfect!

Buckle up for a long review, because I cannot say enough good things about this place! Easy to find, parking on the door step (extra parking over the bridge, less than 2minutes walk away if needed), the house was spacious and spotlessly clean, a well equipped kitchen and a courtyard style garden which is secure for dogs/children, extremely comfortable beds, soft towels that smelt devine and a shower with fab pressure and lots of hot water. The front bedroom over looks the river and the location was so, so peaceful, even my partner who suffers insomnia and usually averages 3-4hrs sleep a night, was getting 8-9hrs sleep here! Town is a short walk away and the fells are within 15min drive. Simon (the host) was extremely helpful when I locked my partner out and also provided thorough instructions prior to arrival. I honestly cannot recommend this property enough, I will definitely stay here again and I will be telling all my friends and family about it! Thank you

Not so much not like but maybe a double bed that can turn into 2 single beds in one of the bedrooms ,not everyone travels with a couple.

The cottage is a 10mins walk from the town centre so ideal for food/drink and shopping. An ideal base for the lakes.

It would have been nice to have a welcome pack - there was just a small bottle of milk. The cottage does lack a woman’s touch in my opinion but that didn’t really deter from our enjoyment.

The cottage is in a lovely quiet location overlooking the river Cocker. Everywhere was clean and the bed was lovely and comfortable. We loved the settees with the recliners and it was good to be able to access Amazon Prime and Netflix on the TV.

The cottage was very warm and modern, it was very clean and well presented, the location of the cottage is only five minutes walk to the high street where resturants and pubs are, its also right next to the river, its also easy aceess for walks etc, Simon the owner was a very good help with advice help when we ask,

Beautiful home from home which had everything you could hope for during your stay. It was modern, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The photos are a really accurate representation of how pretty this property looks and it is extremely well maintained. The location was also so lovely looking onto the river and perfect for exploring the town area and wider area. It was so close to the main street, but also just 3 mins walk to a lovely park for walking my 2 dogs. The garden and neighbour were both lovely too. We highly recommend this beautiful property for anyone wishing to explore the Lake District and wider area, plus we found 2 beautiful beaches closeby too. PS Communication with the owners was brilliant too and even a helpful little video with directions which was a first for me. :) No

The host, Simon, was very helpful and friendly and easy to communicate with. The property was really lovely, with a nice place to eat together in the kitchen and a lovely downstairs space to socialise. The river is located at the front of the property so it was lovely to sit out by the river with a glass of wine in the evening/cup of tea in the morning. The garden was lovely, with a nice picnic bench to sit at. The neighbours were also very friendly! Cockermouth is a great place to stay too, with easy access to lots of stunning walks round the lakes and some nice spots for dinner/to grab any essentials in the day. Cockermouth itself has lovely short evening walks too, especially by the River Derwent.

House was in a great location. Very close to shops etc. Lovely view of river and great walks along the river. So quiet and peaceful. Our dog loved his daily dip in water. Host was brilliant, very informative prior to stay with very helpful videos of how to get to property and gain access. House was very well equipped and well presented. Even the neighbours were very welcoming and friendly. Overall extremely enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Beds uncomfortable, linen needs to be replaced. Oven and some cookware dirty and greasy. Unable to sit outside, dirty and bricks full of big weeds. No welcome pack. Expensive as not up to standard.

Beautiful location and very quiet. Nice kitchen, bathroom and sitting room. Big TVs.
