Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We found everything we needed in the apartment. It was clean and comfortable. The location was very good (boat to Greenswich and tube to the city center; supermarkets nearby and places to have breakfast and dinner). The internet also worked very well!

The location was good, with a 20-25 minute walk to The London Eye along the south riverbank. Vauxhall underground station was accessible right outside the apartment block front entrance, with an Uber river taxi dock right outside too. There is also a Tesco attached to the building which was very handy.

Close to Vauxhall station , easy walking distance to London Eye , Big Ben and other sights . Nice to have a balcony esp. as we were there at an unusually hot time . No reception on site but easy to contact management by phone . They very kindly allowed our group of 6 to leave our luggage in the room for 2 hours after we checked out which saved us having to search for storage for that short time

ColombiaLack of attention to the customer. When I arrived, I was in front of the building during 20 minutes calling to the contact number and no one answered. Finally I received a message by WhatsApp saying that the keys were in a secret location. I searched there but the keys weren't. I have to wait 20 minutes more until finally someone arrived with the keys. I also would recommend some written instructions inside the apartment to inform the visitor how to turn on the kitchen utilities, where to find the power converter to connect the mobile phone, and where is the the main garbage container to empty the bins.

There are lots of restaurants and bars outside the apartment, and also the Uber boat to take you across to other locations such as the Battersea Power Station (also only a 15 minute walk).

AustraliaCollection of keys was messy and not clear instructions about where to meet?, the apartment has heavy doors in the apartment and as it was very hot we found it difficult to keep the doors open, a few (reasonably cheap) rubber door stops would be handy, there were 2 but both very old and still hard to keep doors open. There were NO instructions on how to use the microwave, oven and stove top, all very complicated. Instructions would be handy. TV did not work probably and a lot of interference. Basic items for use in the apartment, l do expect to have everything in working order when we rent an apartment. Both toilet seats need repair, things need to be checked before new arrivals.
The apartment was in a reasonable position.

CanadaToo many quirky maintenance issues. One of showers didn't work (could not adjust water temperature); I texted the owner but they didn't do anything. The patio door didn't have a handle and could not be opened/closed. One evening I nearly got stranded on patio when kids closed it and then struggled for 15 min to re-open it! We left it wide open after that given the hot weather. Barely half the light bulbs worked. The washer-dryer was useless. Had clothes in there drying for 3 hours and still were damp. The fridge had an alarm that kept going off even though door completely closed. I could suppress it by reducing the temperature and then setting back to normal.
Great location and environment by the river, convenient access to Tube. Good amount of space. Very clean and bright. London was swelteringly hot during the stay so it was especially nice to have patio and fans provided in each room. The owner was able to let me in early and sent someone to hand over keys at short notice which was great given airline schedule disruption that had us in London hours early.
