Riverside is set in a quiet residential area. Beautiful house inside and out. Our room was classed as small double, but to be honest we didn't find it small at all and the ensuite toilet/shower room as very roomy. We had everything we needed for our over night stay. Steve and Denise were very nice, very welcoming. Nice breakfast and plenty of it.

Denise and Steve were absolutely wonderful hosts, accommodating our short notice stay without any issues. They were friendly and welcoming and instantly made us feel calm after a very stressful day. I wish we could have stayed longer. Oh and Steve's breakfast is excellent! We will definitely be back.

Breakfast was lovely, I am gluten free and vegetarian. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. Location is very good and useful for access to many popular places.

For some reason, we could not find where the toiletries were kept :( could have asked the host though.

The hosts were very friendly, I did not notice that it is not a hotel while booking, and it turned out to be even better. The two rooms (loft conversions) were full of character, and so was the beautiful house. They got our breakfast ready in time, even though I gave only a very short notice of my early checkout. Overall, we were very happy with the stay and would visit again if we travel to this part. The location worked just perfectly for us as we were traveling between the Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire coast in the days we stayed and this property is somewhat midway between the two.

The room was on top of 2 sets of stairs and there are 2 (adorable!) dogs in the house. These were not issues for me, just making people aware. Shower can be tricky to turn on and off without having water going outside of it. But it is a hot, powerful shower :)

Comfy bed, lovely en suite, warm and welcoming room. The house is very nicely decorated and I received a warm welcome from the host who explained me everything. The room is as described and the host allowed me to have take away for dinner, kindly providing a plate and cutlery! There is a kettle im tge doom with some tea bags and sugar. I was also provided with filtered water. The breakfast was amazing!

Being honest the mattress was a bit uncomfortable for me. I could feel the springs and in particular as I moved in bed so I found I had a bit of an achy back first thing in the morning. Totally understand mattress types are a personal preference and this is in no way a negative reflection in the quality of the accommodation or my overall stay. As quality of comfort is key when finding somewhere to sleep, I would suggest either adding a mattress topper or changing the mattress for a "pillow top" style like Premier Inn's use that should meet most people's needs between firm and soft.

I had a really warm welcome from both the owners Steve and Denise who went out of their way to ensure everything was covered regarding my stay, even keeping in touch before I arrived via the app. The owners also went out of their way to ensure I could park my car in their drive and offered me a key to let myself in and out if they were going to be out at all. The room is well decorated, well sized, exceptionally clean with softest towels I've come across in a while that is better than hotel standards. The shower was a good size, lovely hot water with good pressure and tea making facilities were avaliable in the room. It was great to have a TV with a Fire Stick for leisure purposes if needed and the room had aircon so could be tailored to a perfect temperature. Steve and Denise couldn't have been more accommodating with breakfast asking when was a suitable time for me and any requirements I might have. Well you can't go wrong with a good old English Breakfast and the eggs are fresh straight from their chicken coop. The pricing of my stay was excellent value for money, I felt welcomed and put at ease by the owners into their home. Considering they have only been running this business since 2020, I think they've gotten off to a strong start and all the positive compliments are a genuine reflection of their hard work. Thank you again for such a pleasant stay!

There was nothing that we did not like about our stay at Riverside.

The breakfast was always excellent with a choice of items. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with superb facilities. Denise and Steve are brilliant hosts who make guests feel at home and that see that their (guests) needs are catered for as much as possible. I would fully recommend Riverside for a lovely stay in Kidwelly and I will definitely be looking to book with them for my next visit which hopefully will be very soon.
