I first stayed at the Riverside about 12 years ago, my memories of that stay were very positive and no doubt influenced my decision to return rather than try another guest house. An excellent choice I have to say and have repeated congratulated myself on my decision. I have rather belatedly glanced through the reviews and not found a bad one, that tells you all you need to know.

Breakfast was very good but it was the same every day. It would have been nice to perhaps have mushrooms or a different cooked egg. I can’t eat scrambled egg. However many folk only stay for a day or two whilst we stayed 4 days.

The room was furnished to a high standard, very comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was luxurious. The location was good, by the river and we had a nice river view. It was an easy and pleasant walk to Ely centre.

Bedroom was small (single bed) and a bit hot with no way to control the temperature.

Excellent central location. Beautiful view from bedroom. Spotlessly clean. New, elegant furnishings. Spacious bathroom (with bathrobe supplied). Varied, quality breakfast.

Breakfast room was lovely , but the young lady serving could not even smile ,there was a mumbled “ good morning “ . It costs nothing to smile. I feel her attitude let’s this lovely place down .

Location is fabulous , room had everything you need and top quality bedding ,fittings and fixtures. Bathroom was luxurious!

For the price breakfast was basic and lacked variety. When asked to replenish scrambled eggs...the only choice...the staff member declined. Fruit juice also allowed to run out.

Getting in required contact g the the owner as I had not received the email with the door code. Owner said it should have had it. No apology. But she did then tell me the code

This is really marvellous bed and breakfast on the river bank in charming Ely. My room was spacious and luxury. Extremely clean and stylish. The bathroom was vast with everything necessary. Breakfast was abundant, with a great variety of choice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely return. Thank you very much, indeed!

Beautiful room (6), recently decorated to a high standard with great attention to detail. The bed was very comfortable, the room was warm and welcoming. The area is quiet and the building overlooks Ely marina, which is very pretty.

Very comfortable and well appointed room. Excellent breakfast in peaceful relaxing surroundings. Brilliant location, good views over the river, easy access to the town and railway station. Great staff.

Most of the TV stations had issues, but that's DTV and to be honest it didn't matter to us!

Parking was a bit tricky and carrying luggage more demanding!

Great location beside the River - pity about the rain ☔️ Very easy to reach the Maltings for a concert that night. Compact single room but very comfortable and clean (only downside was crossing the public landing to reach the bathroom!)

Room was to hot, and could not adjust heating, needs to be addressed Parking, on websites says the place has parking,the day before you arrive ,email you have to prebook and pay for the one parking place,there are a couple of free spaces nearby, but on a busy day you can’t park nearby, I stated I have mobility issues and required parking,I feel the websites mislead you
