The pool and activity bookings were online, which is great if I could get a phone signal from our chalet :( For wifi you need to go to the Reception, in which case, why can't I book at reception? The pool times are limited which is a shame, as my kids wanted to have a dip before dinner (up to 6pm) after a day out exploring.

The chalet was in general clean and comfortable. They should consider doing a slightly deeper clean (shower heads with mildew) when required. Furniture is showing signs of wear and tear. Location itself is good and central. The main area and pool is nice.

There was nothing I can say that we did not like about our stay at Lakes Rookley IOW.

The Superior 4 berth caravan we stayed was very clean and very comfortable. We did not use any of the facilities there as we were out and about all day.

There was no baking tray for cooking in the gas oven and no egg cups available,for boiled eggs. There could have been a small bin in the shower room or ensuite bathroom.

The setting of the accommodation was lovely, lots of trees and shrubs . The caravan was spacious with plenty of storage. The patio furniture was a brilliant idea and we used them every day. The beds were really comfortable as were the pillows. The clubhouse was stylish with very friendly and helpful staff. The microwave was powerful and the gas cooker was a great way to cook too. There were plenty of utensils and cutlery. The fridge freezer was large and extremely clean.

Facilities poor Pool poor and changing facilities in poor condition. Restaurant and bar basic. No entertainment or anything to do in the evening. Lake activities only available at weekends. On arrival it took 3 hours to have a cot and high chair delivered to cottage, no where for baby to sleep until it arrived. Should have been in cottage ready for arrival. One set of towels each only unless you paid for more and had to purchase own toilet rolls to replace two used.

Lovely cottage with hot tub. Plenty of space and cosy. Central to many attractions.

Shame there wasn’t parking beside the caravan, we had to walk a fair way between the two. It was very difficult to load and unload the car especially as it was raining heavily on Monday when it was time to go home. The bar staff were very friendly but sometimes it took a while to get served. I’m Not sure if only one till was working but there seemed to be 2 bar staff serving one customer whilst others were waiting. No entertainment on at all and restaurant was closed on Sunday evening.

The caravan itself was lovely, very comfy beds, everything where you needed.

Turned up checked in attended the property dirty previous washing outside, spoke with staff, went out in the evening came back ours was gone but everyone else’s was still there after 9pm, it looked poorly managed, bar was open, service slow and having to repeat orders several times and if your not ordering then listening to bar staff moan they can’t close early and moaning as they don’t get paid to stay open or muttering when are people leaving, I get it’s the end of season but still and for bar facilities being told we close if quiet - literally good people watching but service skills are poor !! Wouldn’t return again and caravan was ok, beds uncomfortable ended up sleeping on couch cushions on lounge floor - glad to go home !!

The on-site restaurant was poor! We picked this site partly because of the menu shown online which showed an excellent gluten free menu and we had two coeliac within our family. The gluten free menu on site was vastly reduced and most of it wasn't available, what we received was really poor and really wasn't edible! The staff o site were so apologetic

It was situated at a busy area of the complex with lots of traffic movements to the front of the van. It was very basic which was fine as we only needed somewhere to sleep. I was surprised at the lack of towels considering bedding was supplied. Also we were not issued with the request bin bags although the booklet we were given on admission quotes that these are supplied. I’m sure if we had wanted to use the pool it would have been nice but we didn’t. The bar was quite pricey, we didn’t try the food so can’t comment

Some of the problems were, main bedroom window catches broken, couldn't shut window except by slammiing, so left open. Light in ensuite not working. Shower room door unable to shut or lock.

Dining table in our cottage was badly damaged. NO WIFI in each cottage only in the main reception bar area. Indoor Swimming pool access very restrictive (got to book in advance) even though the resort was quiet. The outdoor pool was closed despite this was the hottest week of the year (staff shortage?) . So these facilities were extremely disappointing. Hosting people is vital and you definitely feel like just a number...not a very important individual staying.

Reasonable accommodation for a "resort style" campus. Quiet the week we stayed, but that was outside school holidays.

Unfortunately our caravan was dirty upon arrival even after waiting an extra hour after check in to get into it. They've planted some huge plants right next door to the bedroom wall and they kept us awake banging against the wall. We did bring this to their attention but nothing was said.

The location for us was perfect and if we had better weather it would have been an ideal stay. The evening entertainment was excellent and really family friendly.

Some of the furniture need updating, shower heads dirty and mouldy in the accommodation, balcony furniture for three people in accommodation meant for four people, one of the single beds making lot of noise and felt leaning slightly to one direction (potential defect in the bed).

Staff was really friendly, food was nice, kids enjoyed air hockey. Nice surroundings.

One had to go to the office/main centre to use the wi-fi. The 2 smaller bedrooms were too small. There were just too many houses/caravans in the "village": we prefer less densely populated sites.

Dirty towels were in our driveway on arrival and remained there for 24hrs before I asked the staff (collecting others) to come back and take it. No heads up that we had to book the indoor pool so hadn’t done this and it was booked out our whole stay. No heads up we had to bring our own towels. The picture on the main website of a superior caravan shows towels on the bed. No heads up there was no soap for hand washing

Clean, tidy, with all facilities we needed as a family found in the lodge that we stayed in. Very charming view to the lake. Staff very warm welcoming and helpful at any point. Will diffintely be back again.

The mattress was uncomfortable in the double room, the living room had not been cleaned, we said about this and was given 2 halves of a hoover for us to do this ourselves which was difficult. The swimming pool did not have any changing rooms which we were not told about until we came to go swimming.

The staff were all friendly and happy to help anything we needed. The entertainment at night was also good especially the dance party and the silent disco.
