A proper mini fridge in room would have been prefect. The room is certainly big enough. Very spacious.

Owners couldn't be more helpful. Excellent, central location. Everything was walking distance. Co-op right out the back door.

It is basically an upscale hostel, which we didnot realize, at the time of booking. Although it was mentioned there were stairs and no elevator. We found we had indoor stairs and then outside stairs to negotiate. With only backpacks not problem, but with suitcases it was a pain. Lack of parking was a daily problem.

The room was clean, as was the ensuite bathroom. It was in the town center, easy walking to the shops, pubs, and restaurants in Portree.

Very comfortable room for a small family (double bed, 2 singles). Bath fixtures and on demand water excellent. A Bonus was a small fridge! We were able to keep drinks, snacks, veggies in good shape. The hostess Heather kept in touch nicely. It was good to know she was ready to support us if needed. Thank you for everything.

The bathroom is private and is across the hallway. I didn't mind the trek, per se, but the door needs 2 hands to operate which is tricky when you want to wash-up a few things. Steam didn't ventilate very quickly so we left it open for a bit. There are quite a few stairs but the back entrance has fewer.

The beds and bedding were very comfortable and the room was big enough for my sister and me. The fridge was really handy, if a bit noisy. It was nice to sit on the window sill and watch the world go by. The location is brilliant, right in the middle of the small town and good bus links to the rest of the island - we didn't have a car. Heather and Vanessa were fab and responded immediately to any queries and issues. Check-in instructions were clear and we got 2 sets of keys. A lovely place.

The room was spotlessly clean. Having a wee fridge was a bonus. Security was excellent with coded locks at each major access point. Good handrails at each staircase … good for those in need when climbing the stairs.

The back alley hike, then up a flight of metal stairs to a door 'outside in rain' with a coded lock AND Key, was a bit much and alley messy...... Could have gone thru inside, but 2 flights and 2 locks - then our door! Provided a very tiny portable fridge, which was better than nothing and worked well. No toaster.

Location was great, but never met the owners to discuss anything. Good tea.

Climbing, using a code to open doors, climbing outside on a metal staircase to get to room. Strange lighting and fan system - door MUST BE closed because the lights and fan immediately come on and is very disruptive to sleep.

Location was convenient for walking to restaurants, etc. WiFi was good.

The bathroom smelled damp, and it was cold, but it was clean. The beds were very soft.

Our main complaint was the shower. The water was either so hot that it burned, or lukewarm. The water pressure was also pretty bad in our bathroom. We would have loved a better shower after hiking all day, but it got the job done.

Amazing location right in the middle of portree. We loved leaving the car and heading to dinner at night and not worrying about driving anywhere else. Parking across the street was easy, although there also were plenty of lots in the town. The room was super clean, though a bit on the small side, but it was what we expected. The property felt safe. Communication was easy, we never saw a staff person at the location, but it was clean.

Unfortunately booking I was unaware that the minimum stay was 3 nights. Which wasn't stated anywhere in the booking.com process. So upon attempting to change dates, this wasn't possible. The entrance & the hallways could do with a freshen up. Portree is struggling with tourism & availability. Getting a booking for dinner is difficult in high season & many of the staff we encountered were feeling the pressure.

The quality of the rooms themselves is great. Clean, great beds & linen. The rooms did exceed our expectations. The location was perfect right in the centre of Portree.

The Tom was much smaller than the photos showed. We were in room 2. Room 1 was much bigger with space to hang clothes. Small bathroom opposite the room with a separate key.

The location was good and close to everything. Noisy until the pic across the road closed.

The pub across the street and the drunk people walking the streets at night were very noisy.

The room and bathroom were very clean. There was a code to enter. Although you never saw the hosts, you still felt that you were in good hands.

Extractor fan in bathroom is a pain as it goes on for too long and is noisy at night. Light switch rather than sensor in bathroom would also be good. Also needs black out curtains as gets light really early. Two chairs rather than just one would help

The room was clean, but the bathroom had a basement-like smell. The photos on Booking are quite flattering, I must say. In the end, the room was fairly basic, but the price was fair based on what we found in the area.

The location is perfect for accessing the town, the harbor, the main square and the supermarket. Check-in and check-out were super easy, and, despite the central location, the room was quiet. We didn't expect to find the little portable refrigerator in the room. It came in very handy because we often left to go trekking in the morning before the supermarket had opened, so we could shop for provisions the night before. The owner was not there at all, but she provided a very handy binder filled with all of the information we might have needed.

All suited us but be prepared for evening noise as rooms really are on the High St with pub opposite. Private bathrooms are across corridor so not ensuite but this is clear in description and not an issue.

Great central location for Portree and exploring Skye. Good facilities - very clean. Parking nearby easy. Very reasonable price given lack of accommodation options available on Skye.
