How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Shower needed maintenance. Drained very slowly and difficult to turn off so it didn’t drip. Slight irritations and didn’t spoil the stay but I question how often maintenance is carried out. TV had multiple white spots on the screen so depending on what you watched it could be very distracting.
Excellent ocation, friendly staff, lovely room.

I'm being very picky here but you can hear everybody's doors slam,perhaps could be looked in to.
Great size room,very clean. Massive bed and had the best nights sleep in ages. Lovely shower room with a wonderful full English breakfast.

Housekeeping left a duster behind on day one, which wasn't a great problem except it was still there the next day when the cleaner had forgotten to make the bed or clean the bathroom. Not that I'm messy, but....
Fantastic location - short walk from Lime Street and everything else in easy reach. Cool hotel. Was anxious when told I had a basement room but in fact it was a lovely space - smartly presented, fairly recently decorated I think - plus the basement location meant it was very quiet. The area is full of late-night music which is great but not necessarily if you're trying to sleep! Comfortable bed. Plenty of towels.

Radiator in bathroom never on. Ok generally (assume underfloor heating) but was a little bit brisk when exiting the shower. Assume that if that's my only qualm, everything else perfectly ok
More than anything the location, everything I wanted to see I walked to, even Everton's new ground, which isn't bad in my mid seventies. For anyone on a budget, nice Witherspoon pub in Fleet st less than 100 yards away can offset city prices elsewhere.

The noise!! Be warned that this hotel is right in the middle of all the nightclubs / bars. Music blaring from lunchtime til 4am.
Clean, smartly presented. Modern decor. Staff friendly. Breakfast at Mason’s was nice but would probably not pay for breakfasts there in future.

Room was too warm even with heating off and windows open all day. Also very loud outside I wouldn’t have slept at all if I didn’t have my earplugs. When other peoples doors slam it shakes the walls it’s so loud.

Poor lighting in bathroom especially at the mirror, could've done with a light over mirror especially for putting make up on.
Friendly staff, excellent location, bed and pillows WOW so comfy.

Bathroom wasn’t very clean, there was black mould on the shower head, hadn’t been cleaned. Beds not made when room being cleaned, pillows thrown onto bed
Location but only at the weekend if your room is located at back of hotel, its front door is on a very lively street, loud music most of the night. Rooms at the back are a lot quieter

Odd shaped room but spacious enough. Quite a noisy street but guess thats what you get from being in city centre

Asked for an iron to be sent to the room by going down to reception to ask. Was advised they would locate one and send it to the room. An hour or so later I rang reception to ask again, got no answer, so messaged on the Whatsapp number I was given and this still hasn't been read 5 days later! Apart from that everything else was fine.
Have stayed there many times before, great rooms, comfortable and clean.

I’m sorry to say but the bed could have been a bit more firmer and some sort of noise reduction on room doors .
With it being in the heart of all shops and bars their was no need for transport anywhere which was good for us .

The TVs have apps like youtube but they won’t work on the TV, only normal TV chanel’s.
