Lying in bed facing 3 black walls . Was truly dismal. While some fixtures were smart some were very cheap and horrid looking. Nice cotton base sheet. Horrid polyester shiny quilt cover. Wallpapering was just awful, patchwork mess. Horrid curtains

1/ Location. Very near to, 2 noisy roads. However close to city and Uni accommodation. 2/ Room. OK, needs general tidy up / maintenence. Paint scratches on walls, flaking ceiling paint in bathroom. Shower door not hung probably. Sink needs tidy up around splash back. Bedroom walls very thin (can hear noise from neighbouring rooms, eg snoring) 3/ ironing board had no cover. Generally a strange building with strange vibe.

Arrival. Check in is at 3 pm but arrived at 1pm to drop off the bags. Door was locked, so had to call 3 times to convince them to open the door to drop off the bags. A fair amount of wear and tear, and not spotless. No towels in the room, but given when asked. With the high cost level not really value for money, not sure how this is a 3 star hotel.

The bed was nice, the room I had was spacious and bathroom good. Little kitchenette, but didn't need it. Easy 24hr side entrance (once you have a key)

Breakfast was basic - a meagre spread of items laid out on a table to help oneself to - cereals, pre-packaged pastries, cartons of juice, slices of bread for toasting. To be fair this was exactly what I expected, but it still made for a somewhat downbeat experience. It's all the more incongruous as breakfast is (self-) served in the "cafe" of the building, so whilst forlornly chewing on a long-life croissant, one wonders why they couldn't make better use of that facility and offer something more welcoming.

We expected very basic accommodation and that's what we got, so it met our expectations. It was comfortable enough for a one night stay, and at a price we wouldn't have got staying anywhere else in Aberdeen.

The rooms aren't so well sound proofed and the breakfast was pretty megre - but for the money any breakfast felt like a bonus.

Amazing value for money, lovely people and very clean, nice rooms with decent sized bathroom. Very good basic accommodation. It's also in an amazing old church.

We would have rated this much higher, but for being locked out on a kate return because the key fob didn't work. We had to contact the emergency mobile number and get a lovely staff member out of bed to help us get in. She was most apologetic and the non functioning key fob. A big thank you to her for being so helpful and still smiling despite being called out of bed

The kitchenette in my room had no cutlery, no decent size mugs, no tea towels. Wasn’t equipped for what you’d expect in it. The bed was really low & the mattress sat in a boxed frame which dug into my legs getting in & out of bed. There was a few cobwebs about which would freak some people out.

The location is close to ARI.

Accommodation was perfect for 3* It was clean, comfortable and conveniently located to the big shops and town. I have to really sing the praises of Beth. Beth was, a kind, compassionate host who did everything she could to help me and her communication and customer care were exemplary. The other staff were chatty and pleasant. I have to say, I fell in love with Aberdeen during my stay.

The heating kept getting turned off The water was poor hot water No plug for sink The breakfast was only continental but not told this when booked There is facilities there to eat downstairs but not eat in room which the food was put outside our door not good practices to eat in room. the cereal no choice but when asked they say only got Weetabix then only got one Weetabix not two They need to give peaple more information when booking I feel that they have let go of the place as last I visited time. before covit it was lot better and more invitating
