The keys were a bit fiddly for the room doors with the massive keyring on them, and unless you lock the door on the inside you can open them from the outside once you've unlocked it and in your room.

The room was gorgeous and cosy! Food and staff were both excellent. Loved the resident parrot Buddy too!

Fire alarm at 23:00, although not really the hotel's fault! The entrance via the parking at the back is a bit "odd", but not a problem at all, and it's good to have a dedicated parking.

Nice clean comfy room, good shower, nice warm swimming pool, good breakfast, good location to visit the region. Walking distance to facilities and good choice of restaurants in town, and to pretty Forfar Loch. Bonus points: real mugs for tea instead of the typical tiny cups in the room!

The central location of the hotel meant the street noise could be annoying. We booked a double room, expected the usual standard of basic room but we had nowhere to sit apart from the bed. There was a table in the corner with one stool not two - no chairs to relax in. We were the only couple eating meal in the restaurant that night which was a bit odd and no atmosphere as a result. Meal was average

Staff very welcoming and friendly. Spa facilities were clean, jacuzzi lovely and warm. Room was basic but clean. Hotel has a central location in the town which could be an advantage. Good breakfast, no hot food buffet, instead cooked to order which is our preference. Private off-street parking

During the week it is a quiet serene facility. I did not realize there is a nightclub near by that is rocking on Friday and Saturday nights until 2 am. It closes exactly at two and it is dead still.

The Hotel is centrally located. The staff were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and it was very clean.
