The hotel is a bit dated but I think there are plans to upgrade.

We knew what to expect as we had passed it many times. It was as we expected. Breakfast was very nice. The room was at the top of the building but there was a lift so no problem. It was cosy enough and the beds were very comfortable. We didn't eat dinner there. Overall we were happy there. It also had a lounge bar with a television, which was comfortable and quiet during the day. An excellent place to go to read and have a drink.

Staff were very inexperienced. While the food was good the Dining experience was very poor. No tables were set out for breakfast or dinner and we had to collect cutlery/serviettes/tea/coffee etc from a tray. The service by waiting on staff was non existent.

The staff could not be more helpful. The only issue was that there were only really two people and so service could be sporadic. Felt for them as they really were doing everything and were a lovely couple.

The building is in need of an update. Overpowering musky smell in all public areas, well masked in our bedroom by an electronic scent diffuser. Cobwebs on bedroom and bathroom walls, dust at the bottom of the wardrobe (didn't dare to use it) and dirty window frames made us question the cleanliness. Only one teaspoon provided. Very poor and intermittent Wi-Fi signal. Very limited and average quality restaurant food (chose to dine elsewhere after 1st day). Only one and very slow coffee machine at breakfast for both coffee and hot water. Breakfast staff shy to engage and staring into space instead of clearing the tables. The ladies toilet in an appalling state at various times of the day - needs a bin for paper towels and to be regularly checked for cleanliness.

Convenient location for Snowdon, Welsh Highland Railway, Beddgelert Forest and Afon Glaslyn walk. Room spacious enough with views at the village and the surrounding hills. Massive and very comfy bed. En-suite bathroom with a powerful shower. Decent selection of cold and hot food and drinks at breakfast but nothing too special. Parking free for residents and close by. Attentive male receptionist who also served behind the bar. Having the bar onsite.

Overall cleanliness wasn’t great. Staff were inconsiderate in that when they awake early in the morning, they were shouting to one another and waking everyone else

The place needed some TLC and perhaps some more artwork. Between us the manager and I managed to break an rotten sash cord in the bedroom window which could not easily be repaired by the hotel handyman (we had to prop the window open for our stay). Some items on the menu and in the bar were not available. We were compensated for this.

The once grandiose hotel was ideally placed for us and full of character. The manager was very helpful, breakfast was included and the dinner menu was varied and reasonably priced.

It's clear the hotel is being run by a skeleton team, at least outside of high season. Common areas are very tired, and the restaurant is very obviously not a priority.

The room was cold in the evening and the towel radiator in the bathroom could not be turned on. In the morning after breakfast, it was difficult to get enough peace and quiet in my room. The doors in the corridor seemed to bang a lot and the music from downstairs was a bit too loud. Perhaps that was due to the location of my room on the first floor. The exterior of the property looks in need of an upgrade.

The bed was very comfortable. The room was a reasonable size. The breakfast choice was good and well presented. The staff were helpful on the whole . There was ample car parking space.

My original room had not been cleaned from the last guests who left it disgusting (rubbish in bin, toilet unflushed, room stank of cigarettes, big yellow patches in bed and small splodges on top of the quilt (ignoring the fact the room hadn't been cleaned it was quite basic and could have done with a bit of a renovation). Apparently the cleaners forgot to clean my room, but to be fair, the guy on reception did apoligise and did find me another room eventually.

Breakfast had a great choice and was really good. The staff serving breakfast were really good. My replacement room was excellent. Really clean, and very comfy. Bathrooms and shower great. If I'd been given this room first I'd probably have rayed the hotel 9/10. Thank you for sorting the issue out.

Location was very good, ideally placed for places we wanted to visit. Curry on the dinner menu was excellent. Room was comfortable. Manager ad staff were excellent, very helpful.

no staff intraction, never spoke to anyone about checking in or checking out, nobody at breakfast asked us who we are or which room we were in. A little extra personal interaction to check all was ok would have been nice really

The power of the shower was great and the bed was extremely comfortable, tv was also good and worked well as did all lights etc. Breakfast was very good and plentiful too.
