Spiral stairs with part of rope missing? Needs to be repaired as a little dangerous. A little pricey for what we got! Could do with extra towels. 2) The fact that check out time was 10am ??? Our only flight back to Ireland was 9.35pm so emailed for extra time for a small charge. Not recommended for people with disablies or Vertigo as staircase can be dangerous

Would have preferred to be lower down. Found it difficult going up spiral staircase. My dog also found the steps difficult and didn’t like them at first.

Kitchen appliances are old. Table is rickety. No one mentioned the steep, circular flights of stairs and the broken balustrade. This meant great care was necessary, particularly descending with a suitcase. I would not recommend this accommodation to older people, or single women without strong muscles.

Heating was great - it was only 6 degrees when I arrived. Also, apart from the kitchen, the decor and furniture were attractive.

Someone just needs to look up and run a duster over the light fixtures. Upgrading some things wouldn't go a miss, the fridge especially. It makes quite a bit of noise during the night. My partner is quite a light sleeper. It woke her up once or twice throughout the night.

Instructions from the owners were clear and straightforward. The flat is up a lovely wee spiral close and is brilliantly located in the middle of the mile. It was spotless and welcoming. Couldn't have asked for much better. The mattress was comfy, as were the pillows and duvet. Towels were made available, even some wee shower gels to go with it. Tea, coffee, and wee sachets of milk in the fridge were a nice gesture. As was the wee welcome box. It had plenty of instant hot water and great heating, which is especially great at this time of year. The place had everything we had needed for a one night stay. I would happily book to stay there again.

The dishes were all dirty when we arrived so we had to clean everything ourselves before using it. Disgusting. The toilet barely flushed.

The leak from the roof, which I've read was fixed, but still leaked when we've arrived. For such high price it was a bit too much, but it didn't really spoil our stay there, so we've accepted it as a part of the country :)

The flat was in a center of the city. The building was very old and wierd, you really need to use the given instructions to find this place. But once we've found it, everything was ok. The stairs are as on the pics, but with smaller bags we didnt have any problems. The room was quite nice, double bed and sofa were comfortable. Though everything was not like we've seen in Europe, where were way higher standards for accomodations like this, but here it was "very old and very British". Even the leak from the roof didn't scare us, since I've already read about it, so we've put a bin and towels under it and the problem was solved :) the best of it was the location, everywhere we needed to go was very near. The owners were very polite via messages, but we've never met them. The instructions they sent us were good and clear and we had no problems to access our flat.

It was run down. The oven didn’t work. The shower kept switching off. The property was surface clean. I felt like the quilts were dirty. I think it is so important to make sure quilts and pillows have a fresh feel to them

It needs to be made MUCH more clearer that the apartment contains a lot of spiral steps. It needs to be mentioned in the property description clearly and not hidden away at the bottom of the webpage under important information, which most people will not click on. I am a single mother and I stayed alone with my 4 month old baby, I REALLY struggled to the point of panic. After finally finding the place I had to lift my baby from the heavy pram, leave my pram and bags outside hoping no one would steal everything, put the baby on the bed, leave her, and go up and down 3 more times to dissemble the pram and bring the bags up. The warnings about accessibility are just not clear enough. I only knew of the spiral stair case once the owner sent me the self check in instructions AFTER payment and booking.

Many things to note : - It was extremely cold in the appartement, with just two small heater that didn’t seem to do anything - it was very dark, in was difficult to cook in the appartement after sunset because there was no light in the kitchen - it was noisy, I’m not talking about street noise because this is what you expect when you book a place in the very city center, but our upstairs. The neighbors would come back at 2-3am, screaming in the staircase and then talking/laughing super loudly in the apartment. The water heater is also super noisy for a very long period of time after you take a shower so it surprised us the first night as we were trying to spleep

The location is perfect, the studio was pretty and full equipped. The staff was very helpful and let us check in early and check out late for free which we really appreciated.

Wifi internet connection was not working. Contacted the property and said to send somebody to fix it. But up to our last night of stay internect connection was pretty bad. My sister needed it for her work at that time.

The best part is it’s location where it is right in the heart of the historical Royal Mile and close to the edinbrugh castle. The facilities feel just like home. It was clean and decent.
