Has an “authentic” feel with stone wall finish and nice design touches. The location in the heart of the old town was perfect for exploring all the local attractions and easy for transport links.

The hair dryer was not working and the bathroom sink drains slowly, but overall it was a nice stay.

It is within the Royal Mile, which makes it very accessible to where we want to go.

Possibly a slightly larger bed and larger duvet and the addition of a coffee machine (simple Nespress or similar).

Location - super, communication and check in instructions very clear and concise. Earlier checheck in made possible and communicated timely - super. Personally I would have liked a larger duvet (and bed), not a big issue though :-). The location of the appartment is exceptional, the access stairs are not for the faint hearted. Room Toom Tabbart is quiet so a good nighs rest!

We had one 2 year old and it took a little longer than we thought to get to the floor:) i would recommend if your kids don’t need strollers or buggies:)

Lack of fire escape

A return visit to this property for us. We had a wonderful weekend (again). Fantastic location and views of the Royal Mile from front apartments. Beautiful room in historic building. Good pub and cafe in alley/courtyard just below. Thanks for a lovely stay!

It didn’t bother me, but access to the rooms are through a narrow and spiral staircase, so if you are bringing big luggage bear this in mind.

Property is very well located and room was very comfortable. Has kitchenette and owners make available coffee and milk, they also left cookies as a present which I really appreciated. They also did their best effort to allow me to check in earlier and check out later.

The room did not have much storage and only one chair for seating. The carpet was not very good quality and the general finishes were simply fine, but not great; i.e towels, carpet, pillows furnishings etc. It looked like a more careful vacuuming if the room would have helped. We were a little disappointed that just one bath towel and one hand towel per person for a four-night stay, and those towels were not great quality. Pillows were fairly hard.

The location is very good and being in an historical building was fun. The room was a good value for the price. The room had a small kitchenette which is a nice option and the bathroom was fairly nice. The instructions were thorough and the staff was responsive; they were able to have our room ready early, which we appreciated.

If we had any criticisms it would be the room would benefit from hanging storage for clothes and a full-length mirror.

Communication with the host/owner was excellent. The apartment was exactly as advertised, with stone walls and an atmospheric view. It was in an ideal location right at the top of the Royal Mile. Perfect stay!

TV could do with a refresh, controller hard to use and couldn’t watch Netflix etc.

Super central location, straight into the royal mile. Instructions very clear on how to get into the room, was on first floor so stairs not a problem. Lots of coffee and tea and biscuits available. Cooking facilities, fridge and washing machine available.

Stairs, eventhough you are in level 1, there are stairs also. the kichennette is not complete, remember to buy kitchen sponge your own and oil to cook

Entrance is weird as you have to go up a dark staircase, but we considered this part of the experience :)

The location is superb and the rooms are spotless, with comfortable beds. The bathroom is also very clean. A box full of cookies was waiting for us when we arrived.

Arrived after 3. Room hadn't been cleaned and there was no key to gain entry. I was about to look for other accommodation when another guest managed to find someone for me. Messaged owner. No reply to this date. Left a sleeping bag there and I haven't been contacted about that either. I would have no hesitation in staying there again if the entry issues were addressed and I would rather like my new sleeping bag back to be honest.
