How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

When we have arrived to the hotel, we went to check in and the receptionist was a bit rude. I was very tired because of the long travel and English is not my first language, so I didn't get something. I have asked about it again to clarify and she just replied: "I have just explained you" and she didn't clarify it. She could have just asked what part I didn't get etc. The couch in the room was not very comfortable,so the third person who was with us, didn't have the best sleep. We thought, we would get 3 separate beds.
The room was very clean, every day, we had clean towels, the bathroom was also nice and clean, perfect location

We had three rooms with 4 in each. We had to wait an hour after check in for the first and two hours after for the second. Not ideal when you have a group that want to get ready to go out for the evening. Not ideal but what can you do. Street very noisy at night.
Huge hotel everyone here is working very hard to cope with the sheer volume of people in and out each day. Good breakfast even though the canteen is very busy.

Only slight issue was workmen in corridor decorating during the day nearby but otherwise fine
We were able to have a vegetarian breakfast option when I asked for something. There was oat milk and a few gluten free options also. Rooms looked very recently decorated and brand new en-suite shower.

4 Very Small lifts for large number of rooms long wait for lifts with space for wheelchair user. Lots of road / outside noise throughout the day and night

A lot of major building work going on at the hotel whilst we were there.

There wasn't a mirror close to a plug socket which made it hard for my fiancee to strengthen her hair.

Not a dislike but never experienced this in a hotel before - our floor currently being repainted so corridor carpets covered in plastic, painters busily working (very polite and let us pass to get to our room). Our room freshly painted but no smell. TV screen half ok, half in shadow. Only overnight stay and didn't think it'd be fixed so left it.
Perfect location for niece's early morning Contiki departure. Comfy beds, nice bathroom, reasonably quiet (few occasional mechanical noises), spacious enough.

The windows are not sound proof. So every motorbike, ambulance, fire engine and bus you can hear so if you’re a light sleeper like me these will wake you up every 5 mins.
The property is a 10 min walk from Euston so ideal. Close to all other sights with the bus stop at the end of the street and underground not to far either.

The shower was a bit temperamental, with the options only seeming to be very hot or cold, there was no in between. The water pressure was also lacking.
Comfortable Beds and blackout curtains were perfect for staying in London.

The lifts were not all fully operational. Priority should be made for wheelchair users. We had to wait a long time to get from floor 1 to ground floor as the lifts kept bypassing our floor and the lifts were full of people who were fully ambulant.
The manager was thoughtful of our needs as our family member has disability and she worked out the best room to suit our needs.

I think the lady on reception was having a bad day when I arrived. She was pretty rude and made me and my mum feel uncomfortable.
Very big hotel, kept clean and tidy. Room was exactly as expected basic, comfortable and clean.
