How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The stairs & lifts!! Two hotels knocked in to one meant the stairs were very steep & confusing, also the tiny lifts are not good if you’re claustrophobic. One only takes one person, the other two people.
The location was good & we had a sea view.

When we got there we were told it was fully booked as booking.com hadn't booked the rooms that we had paid for we paid for a Seaview the manager bent over backwards to help us out thankfully somebody cancelled so we eventually got a room not a good start to our weekend away as it was my birthday and I'd just retired from work
The service was very good close to local amenities

The heating in the room was a little noisy and the radiator didn't get warm. On one night, the room was a little too cold. The room was on the fourth floor with only a tiny lift serving it. This wasn't a problem to us, but could be a problem for anybody who relies on lifts to get upstairs.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel is good value and in a good position on the seafront.

We've stayed at this hotel a couple of times and you always get a friendly welcome. Its a homley hotel. Our premium room was well designed and comfy. For the price your really can't complain.

There’s some little bits in the room that were dated or needed a bit more attention to detail. Black bits on the shower seals, shower head hanging pole thing coming off the wall, windows really need cleaning inside and outside of the room we stayed in. All these things are minor,
Great friendly staff, very keen and happy to help. Brilliant evening entertainment. Really good that it’s a 24 hour desk, snacks and drinks available to buy in the hotel plus plenty of tea and coffee in the bedroom. Really good shower! Much better than you usually get in a Blackpool hotel! It’s a very clean hotel inside, except for bedroom windows.

Our bedroom window was cracked (room 24) and this contributed (maybe) to the room feeling cold. It faced the sea as requested and it was a very windy December night so no complaint. Just saying !

The room, the window was whistling all night and drafty, the bathroom was dirty shower and floor squeaky. The light shade was dusty, the window had a crack in it to.

Had booked my car in to the hotel car park.,when I arrived there were junkie taking drugs there ,I didn't feel I could leave my car there safely...informed staff but was told it was a on going issue ..had to park my car away from hotel...I'm disabled and it wasn't very convenient for me .. why don't residents get a key to open gates and lock them after use ...can always ask for a deposit for key with money refunded after key giving back .say about 10.pound ..also lift to small

Hotel looking dated in parts and could do with a bit of care and attention. Also loud music until nearly midnight. But for Price I paid the hotel good value for money.
