Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe would have benefitted from a map to show the location of the car park. We could not see any information as to how things operated in the apartment, or to consider recommendations in the local area. The cleanliness of the apartment was very disappointing. Dust was everywhere and included a previous occupants false eyelash in the middle of the floor. The bedding appeared cheap but was clean, however there was a distinct lack of attention paid to other areas. We contacted the owner who offered to pay a visit but this was not appropriate as we had little time to get ready, due to the distance we had travelled and would distract us from the reason of our visit that was to attend a close friends birthday. Given the time restrictions and my wife needing to get ready, it was not appropriate and would not benefit us by having them access but would only provide evidence to them, of which we would gladly offer as we took photos. The bed as described in other reviews was uncomfortable and noisy but we considered that and brought a mattress topper. However, after assessing the bedding we could see that there were no pillow protectors and the pillows were in poor condition, resulting in us purchasing new pillows and bedding and placing this on top. We also observed a food substance stuck to the plates on the table, leaving us to conclude that we would not be preparing our food here. The apartment have undoubtedly met our needs if we had not felt that we were walking into someone else’s mess! There is a sideboard that I would suggest needs some decluttering as most of the nonsense on there is useless. The Monday morning was noisy as every step of other occupants was heard. Overall we felt that we had walked into someone else home as if they had just stepped out the door. We did consider leaving and booking elsewhere but it would have added a considerable additional finance to that, that was already spent.
This was a different location from what we were used to and afforded us the opportunity to have a lovely morning breakfast in a local restaurant (can’t remember the name but it was the busiest) and explore a different area. Sunday morning was lovely, seeing people walk around with families and pets and showed Plymouth in a different light from what we had previously known. The parking was good and access to the property was simple. There was not any lists of rules and expectations, as can be found when renting other places. The mornings at the weekend were very quiet, unlike hotel rooms, with the constant slamming of doors.

United KingdomA better bed needed. Apartment could do with a good deep clean from top to bottom. It needs to be freshly redecorating. Too much furniture, seven in chairs in total for two people staying ? TV very small and wifi not very reliable. Price was was good but this I think reflected in the size and quality of the apartment.
Location was very good with parking included. Price very good.

The location is wonderful, with plenty of local eateries and choice, but avoid Prezzo, terrible service! The apartment is beautifully curated and stylish with a fabulous view of the historic buildings. We were warm and cosy, the surroundings were peaceful and quiet. The facilities are excellent, couldn't have asked for more. There is loads to do nearby; in particular a couple of micro-beaches, sea swimming with care, The Box in Plymouth is great; also the stunning Mount Edgecombe country park via the Cremyll ferry is not to be missed and a 10 minute walk from the apartment . It is totally gorgeous!

United KingdomBed was not a double but a futon with a very hard futon mattress - bedding tired and pillows hard. Blinds to windows/doors broken. Interior door handle hanging off. Toilet did not flush properly. Agents attitude was caviller to say the least, blaming all problems on Booking. com saying they were poor and need a boot up the backside!!??!!. Apartment was adequate for a one night stay but marred by above faults. Have stayed in Royal William yard apartments on several occasions and have always had superb time - assume this apartment managed by a different agency Hope next time I don't get them again.
