When the window was open, the noise from the clubs

Location - easy walk to all we needed to see. Old charm with chandeliers hanging from the 4th floor through the surrounding staircase down into the foyer. Rooms were large and well equipped. Best English buffet breakfast during our 14 days of travelling through Scotland and England. Lunch options were also great. Dining and bar staff were super great.

Beautiful hotel and central location - shame about the rest

We were sent to a room which had a leak from a light fitting, with water pouring down onto the toilet below. We asked for and got a new room but were shocked to discover later on from a different guest that she had had exactly the same experience with the same room. In other words, we had been given a room which had already been reported as unsafe. After this, we shared our room with a couple of very visible spiders and the pillows were very hard. There was mould in the bathroom. The queue for breakfast was very long and obviously not enough food had been put out, as we were kept waiting for new stuff to arrive.

The lobby, the decor, the position and also the friendliness of the staff

Swimming pool not available during stay, and receptionist rather off hand and dismissive on arrival. (She was a one off; other staff were great.) Room over warm even though heating not on. No air con. Had to keep window open for cooler air with the result that noise from station was significant. I would avoid in summer

Top marks to friendly and helpful breakfast staff. Buffet style breakfast was very good. Gluten free bread and sausage available on request. Pleasant dining room. Location of hotel is absolutely wonderful for exploring city. Easy to find as all signs point to station. Hotel is massively elegant: wonderful period tiling, sparkling chandeliers suspended in centre of classic staircases. Don't miss adjoining Centurian bar, as good as any in Vienna. Room small but bathroom far from cramped with real bath! Price of room was good value when great breakfast factored in.

Room 204 is at the front of the hotel and there is a niteclub just beside the hotel. I didnt get to sleep till after 3am and I wear earplugs. My friend stayed in 211 which is on the track side.

Great location next to station and staff were lovely. Rooms were decent although toilet a little grubby in areas. Dinner and breakfast were nice. The room had a fridge also which is always a plus

Only minor things- some herbal tea in room would be nice ,as would a little bar of soap as well as the liquid soap. Also my room , 108 had a lot of weeds on the window ledge outside.

Lovely shabby chic room with bath. Imaginative menu. Super helpful staff .

Room was decent, but incredibly hot (no air con). Location also had its downside as you could hear the trains (and even the announcements) from the station. Must have once been a truly gorgeous hotel but needs a bit of TLC in the rooms (looking a bit tired now). Pool was also closed the entire time i was there which was v frustrating as one of the main reasons i chose this hotel.

Great location, right next to the station and short walk into the centre of the city. Staff were lovely and v helpful. And amazing value for money, would stay again.
