Could do with more eatery’s on site.

Location was great.the room was very comfortable.only let down was not being able to get food on site on the Friday evening and Sunday morning breakfast as they didn’t have a cook.

The only slight criticism would be regarding the bathroom where the shower lacked power and was loose in its holder, making it difficult to direct. Also, the water didn't drain away from the shower tray. I was only there one night and this was a minor issue which I'm sure they would have resolved had I raised it with them.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. It was situated in a very picturesque spot on the canal and was a beautifully quiet area. Parking was free and there was plenty of space. Our room was good value for money and I would stay there again.

Bed was a bit hard and the single track access road could have better passing places.

Perfect location for a local music festival I attended. All good. Staff were very friendly both in the hotel and cafe. Thank you.

No breakfast or coffee available and no where close by to yo use as an alternative.

Really lovely little place . Greeted by a pleasant man and lady at reception , check in was smooth We stayed here for one night because we had a party close by , we were given cab numbers and told about where we could get food and drink , there is a Indian on site which looks impressive but we unfortunately didn’t get the chance to try it . All staff and residents on site were very friendly . We had a drink in the boathouse which is good value for money staff were attentive and welcoming . We stayed in a delux double room that was clean comfortable , Modern and well equipped. The areas around the marina are well kept , it’s a really peaceful tranquil setting We attended the restaurant on our departure date and was really looking forward to a breakfast which again looks good value for money , but we were told that no food was being sold and the coffee machine wasn’t working. This was really disappointing as this would have been the end to a perfect stay . We will return and stay for 2 nights next time and try the Indian and hopefully have no future issues

This is our second time of staying. It is convenient for us for an overnight ready for a mid-morning Stanstead flight. Comfortable room with plenty of parking and walking distance to the two pubs in roydon for evening food options or the Marina cafe.

That the on-site cafe stoped serving food @ 7.30pm midweek & the Indian restaurant was also closed. Can recommend ‘The White Hart’ in the village though - great food & very accommodating.

We stayed 4 nights and one night was terribly noisy between 2-5am with the next door guests being intoxicated and singing. There was no one to report to as far as I know reception is closed.

Very cramped bathroom. No Earl Grey teabags or water in the room. No blackout blinds or curtains. We were woken up by what we thought was a very loud radio or TV blaring early in the morning.

Clean room. Good towels. Comfy bed. Good quality biscuits on tea tray.

The noises of people coming and going at early hours. The toilet scared my 2 year old every time it makes the noise. The room we're kittle cold on arrival until we turn the heating on ourselves.
