Room was a bit noisy as it was near the hotel entrance. Seemed to be a number of cars leaving engines running for some time..maybe taxis or takeaways connected with Indian Restaurant?

Once on site (we arrived late at night) it is very difficult to guess which building is the actual hotel, so I had to walk around and search for it. Some arrows, or big sign on the building would help a lot. Bed was quite short, I am 6ft tall and it was too short for me.

In the hotter weather, the room had no air-conditioning which proved to be a little uncomfortable.

The location is quiet with good nearby facilities. The indian restaurant next door provides a good meal for those who don't want to travel to nearby Hoddesdon.

No problems at all with the hotel.

A peaceful setting, parking onsite for no additional cost. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean, neat and tidy with good facilities in the room itself and the en-suite. Indian restaurant next door which we visited and had a great evening meal, (Wednesday, when we were staying, is Banquet night). There is a cafe bar nearby (The Boathouse) where you can get a good basic breakfast with a nice view of the marina.

Some rooms were better than others for example I didn’t have a chair and my room was smaller than my friend’s The door lock was a bit difficult. Bathroom was small.

Great little location with ample facilities for anyone ducking in to London for the day/evening. Train station is literally 5 mins walk back to your room. Restaurant is good (as expected) nothing too fancy but more than adequate to fuel up and be satisfied. Overall, lovely location, decent price, polite staff. Bed was comfy too... Slept like a log

Room very warm, even though temperatures were in the low 20s. A fan was provided but was broken. The room with a window was in a fact a room with a patio door. Which we kept open all night but found sleeping difficult as we were still too warm. Shower was starting to develop some black mould, mainly due to a filthy extractor fan (which I cleaned) and is now working a lot more effectively. Maybe you should vacuum the extractor every so often, as it looked like it had never been cleaned. Toilet, shower and basin all activate a noisy macerator, which you can hear through the walls. With the design of the building I'm not sure this can be avoided though. Still rather annoying at night. Cleaning staff attempted to enter as I was dressing from a shower, not sure why they didn't knock to check. This was an hour before check out time.

Lovely location, comfortable bed. Very friendly local residents, friendly welcoming staff (security guard especially so). Relatively cheap. A short scenic walk to the train station, some lovely places to visit within a short drive.

- The bathroom was a little dirty but not enough to impact our enjoyment of the stay. - The price of the room was a little on the dearer side, but overall it felt worth the price.

- Really spacious room and well decorated. - Great facilities in the Marina Village with cafe and laundry room. - Really tasty curry house on site. - The location was fantastic and tranquil - a real gem of a retreat, just a short distance from London with a train station on your doorstep. - Great for canal walks. - Close enough to village pubs and shop.
