Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNot a dislike. Just a comment that it would convenient to have an icebox in the fridge. I realise there's not enough space for a fridge freezer.
I stayed here last year and it looks like it's had a mini update. The decor was lovely and fresh and the place was spotless. I like the peacefulness of the area, easy parking and

United KingdomA lovely chalet location, clean & welcoming, beautiful decor and all the standard things you’d need to settle in for the night. A lovely footpath leading to the marina, the broads, a pub and a Roman fort - it was brilliant - thank you!

United KingdomThe blinds need replacing with something else to give more privacy. Sofa needs a steam clean as it is stained or replacement. Larger knives some handles worn and didn’t look nice bits breaking off.
Comfortable feel about accommodation with plants dotted around and matching appliances. Comfortable beds, slept well as quiet although early morning light under the curtains a bit of a nuisance. Nice walk in shower.

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn’t like he was kind the location was good and the neighbours were friendly
The owner phoned me he was very polite very nice booking.com made a mistake because you’re not meant to book it And just go are you meant to book it 24 hours in advance and he let us stay there he got the Cleaner to come around unsociable hours to sort it so we could stay there even though it was booking.com‘s fault The chalet was ever so clean cleaner than most hotels we stayed in in Yarmouth and was better to be fair and cheaper

United KingdomI gave the scoring I gave due to I never stayed there and was unable to give a correct viewing, were lied to be the people we phoned up as my daughter was supposed to be at the resort the same weekend, but there's was cancelled due to double booking just 2 days before the weekend and told it had not happened for about a year, all I can say that if you want to go please get there as early as you can just i case.
There was not a lot to like as we booked a 2 bedroom chalet amd never got to stay there, and told them we would be arriving late and got there after a very long drive to find out some one else was already in there, the person we contacted told us this had happened about a year ago and put us up in a hotel

Quiet , clean , comfortable . Very well furnished and styled . Chalet well furnished , nice piece of garden for dogs . Neighbours very friendly and helpful

United KingdomMinimal supplies were provided. One roll of toilet paper only, no basic kitchen supplies. So we had to go to the shop to buy basic things like more toilet roll, cooking oil etc. Thankfully there is a shop fairly nearby (if driving). One sofa + only one comfy chair means the fourth person sat on a bench most of the night. Only exactly 4 forks/knives/plates etc so had to wash up between main meal and desert. Clearly none of these are big deals at all and would not stop me from recommending this place, but the trip would have been more comfy if owners considered supplying some extra supplies
Very clean chalet and nicely decorated with modern furnishings. Looks exactly as the pictures show. Peaceful area, no noise disturbance despite neighbours in other chalets being very close by (all were friendly). Good nice walk to Roman Fort very close. Only a short drive from main sights of the Broads.

United KingdomThe main issue which we were most unhappy about was the fact that after a 3 hour drive, the fridge had been turned off and also smelt. We turned it back on ourselves but took a considerable amount of time to become cold so we therefore had to go back out to find some milk and cold drinks as it was very warm. Visually the chalet was clean but upon closer inspection, the corners of the rooms especially, we found clumps of dirt. Spiders webs and spiders were plentiful throughout. There was no welcome pack upon arrival or throughout our stay. The bulb in the only lounge lamp didn’t work. We had to message the host for the wifi code, which we were advised should have been in the welcome pack which we obviously didn’t have. Most of the blinds on the chalet were damaged and didn’t offer any privacy int the evening. The handles on the knives in the kitchen draws were also damaged. The step at the front door is also not good for disabled people or young children as it is quite steep so doesn’t offer easy access to and from the chalet. Upon packing our car to leave, we took our dogs for a short walk before our long drive back. We were disgusted to find that a note had been put on our windscreen, not from the park or the chalet owners, but clearly from a disgruntled resident which asked us to remove our car and move it to the car park. We felt this was uncalled for as we were quite clearly loading our car to go home and were not blocking the road or any pathways. This made us feel very unwelcome.
We liked the decor and felt the chalet was modern and well designed. We thought the walk in shower was great. The beds were very comfy and having real plants was a nice touch.

United KingdomSign could have been brighter on the wall to tell us it was Ruby's retreat.? Sun damage. It was quite hot. A fan might have been useful. Some minor dust/ rubbish under furniture and beds. The door from inside the front bedroom overlooking the lawn would not open from the inside, which could mean you might get stuck.
Nice touches with decor. Good to have some basic essentials. Great it was dog friendly. Great it had WiFi and streaming. Very easy. Generally clean and very tidy. Good facilities. Shower was nice. Thanks for providing essential toiletries.

United Kingdom4 day ant infestation. Not the hosts' fault but was a pain. Mr Muscle glass shine is also a cracking ant killer! The 'blinds are rattan, and can be easily seen through during the hours of darkness, though there are curtains in the bedrooms. No storage space for food. If proper blinds were fitted I'd have no problem staying here again.
Quiet, clean chalet. Smallish bedroom but there was a really comfortable double bed so that made up for the size!
