A little dated but then you get what you pay for. Breakfast choice limited - cooked breakfast was fine but fruit would have been nice as would some pastries.

Twin room was fine albeit a little dated. Location was fabulous - easy to walk into town etc. Having parking on site was a big bonus in such a busy place. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate

Apart from the bed, most of the furnishings looked very tired and well-used and sofa had lost the comfort it must have once had. Upholstery looked in need of a steam clean . Afternoon sun made the room very warm. Suggest a fan would be useful for when days are even hotter.

Location. Very comfortable bed. Seating in the room in the form of sofa, arm chair and desk chair. Off-street parking.

The floorboards creaked, and I was worried about disturbing anyone below as I rise early.

Room was a very good size. Beds were soft with little support at the edge; despite this I slept well. Plenty of hot water in a generous sized shower. Good breakfast.

The location suited us perfectly. it was easy to find as we came up London Road, and the car park at the back was a real bonus. Going down the side road led us straight to the pedestrianised shopping area & our choice of Bills restaurant for supper - many other choices available. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We appreciated the choices for breakfast, & the availability of vegetarian sausage. The bar & lounge looked welcoming & the receptionist was pleasant and efficient. Excellent value for money.

The property lacks any modern amenities. The water pressure in the cramped shower was poor. The wash basin has 2 separate taps - one for hot water and another for cold - I would assume that any decent hotel would at-least have a mixer tap and the optimal temperature can be chosen by the guests. The rooms and the property in general seems run down and a little renovation might help. it’s overly priced with poor amenities and it’s only USP us it’s proximity to the town Centre.

Its proximity to the town Centre , the chef/ kitchen staff are courteous and helpful .

breakfast was not very good. very salty bacon, grainy eggs, burnt coffee, very sweet yoghurt and jams and the room is really bare so it’s very echoey - not for me

Thick dust on wall lights above the bed, door frames and bathroom light. Dusty sock found behind bathroom radiator. Argumentative guests at breakfast (one of them stated she had called the police to the hotel the previous night) who we suspected were paid for by the DHSS. They were obviously 'down & out' types and referred to the staff by name. One member of staff brought one man a black bag containing his belongings and reminded him to pay before he left.

Great location. One street back from the high street. Wonderful breakfast with lots of choice. Fresh smelling bedding and towels. Lovely big room (No.47). Heating on, lovely and warm. Free car parking at the back of the hotel.

Bed was a little soft for my taste. No double glazing, which was fine for me as I get a little hot at night, but may be an issue in colder months

It is quite dated. Although clean, roomy and well located, the furniture is old, the bed a bit creaky, the shower small and in need of updating.

Location, staff and breakfast were all good. For the price it was good value. I needed a bolt hole so I could see a relative who had been taken into A&E in Tonbridge.
