The location this log cabin is in is beautiful, so much greenery around. There’s quite a few shops, takeaways etc within about a 10 minute drive The log cabin was very clean and the hosts are lovely

The whole place was lovely, so relaxing and Ruth and Dean are wonderful hosts. The lodge is so spacious, beautifully decorated and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. We have been a few times now and can't wait to return again very soon 😆.

The cabin was far more spacious than expected - we were greeted by Ruth who was most welcoming. The whole place was very clean, and the hot tub was lovely. Can't recommend staying here enough - we will certainly be returning. Thank you Ruth :)

Our stay at this property was great. Upon arrival we were greeted by the host who was very helpful and recommended local places for food as well as taxi services for getting into town. She also made herself readily available for any questions whilst not imposing on our stay. The property itself was also amazing, it had everything you could need for a relaxed stay away (board games, movies, hot tub). There wasn’t anything additional that we needed during our stay. The location is remote however it is only a 15 minute drive/taxi journey into the centre of Shrewsbury so it is great for a quiet stay whilst having the option of restaurants and shops if wanted.

Such a beautiful, clean, peaceful trip. Don't have a bad word to say, everything was immaculate! Amazing value for money. Great host and very helpful. Pictures don't do iustice of how truly lovely the retreat is! Would highly recommend!

An absolutely incredible stay at Ruths retreat. The accommodation has everything you need and is spotless. Ruth and Dean are the perfect hosts. We have come away feeling so relaxed, the hot tub and the views blew us away. This is our third stay here and is somewhere we will come back to again and again.

We have just returned from 4 nights at Ruth's Wonderful Retreat 🥰 Everything was absolutely PERFECT. Ruth and Dean made us feel so very welcome. Ruth is a really lovely lady. The lodge was fantastic, everything you needed and finished to a very high standard. The views were wonderful and the hot tub was amazing. We arrived sadly later than planned and Ruth had the hot tub all ready for us 😊 It was so peaceful and so relaxing. We spent 2 full days just relaxing at the lodge. It was just what we needed, after completing the fantastic NC500 route in Scotland. This has now become one of Our Favourite Places to be 🥰🥰 and we will definitely be returning. - The kitchen has everything you need, look in a drawer and you'll definitely find it. - Everything has been thought about. We had a fan, clothes hanger to dry our bathing suits, board games and DVDs. - Amazing location, so quiet and peaceful. - Lovely hosts, fixed an issue (our fault) promptly.

This is not Ruth’s fault hence why I still have a ten however I want to mention there is a lot of spiders, bugs and cobwebs with it being a log cabin so if you’re not a fan I would definitely recommend the caravans.

A lot bigger than expected which was great. You can tell there has been a lot of effort put in to make it scenic and really nice.

Another amazing stay @ Ruth’s Retreat and will be booking again for next year. Ruth and Dean are amazing hosts and nothing too much trouble and happy to help with anything.
