It was basic, to the point it was for 2 people but there was only one mug. There was nor even a quarter of a roll of toilet paper. We arrived at 10.20pm, text the next day and was assured cleaner would bring some, when we got back from our day put no toilet roll, so at 9.30pm, we had to go searching for stores to get toilet paper, on foot. There were only 2 pillows, one each and they were quite flat. We always use basic accommodation but these things were what you would expect in the most basic place.

Within walking distance to Leicester centre. Clean and tidy.

There wasn’t any soap to wash your hands with after using the restroom nor for anything in the kitchen, a piece of glass on the floor, the door frame was damaged looked like it was ripped off and behind the kitchen door a hole in the wall as if the doors been slammed into it

The bed was comfortable the tv for once did have access to WiFi and was able to use it, it’s nice small and cosy

There was no tv remote, the light bulbs went as we was getting ready for a night out, the shower door was off, there was left over food in the fridge from previous ppl staying there and you could hear other occupants

Arrived to find a painter in my room. Given a new room over the phone. Room was clean but smelled strongly of cannabis, though coming from South London this prevented me feeling homesick. Cutlery draw had loads of spoons, TWO can openers, one knife and zero forks. Like a bad remix of Allanis. The two pillows were also cosplaying as envelopes, had to use my towel to fatten them up. Right next to a huge busy firestation, though some may feel that belongs in the plus box...

Room was clean, good bathroom, powerful shower, strong WiFi, decent kitchen (bar the Ironic situation), bed itself was comfy, plenty of wardrobe and draw space, Smart TV you can stream to.

Didn't get information to gain entry and have to call a couple of times. Cleaner/management thought we had booked for one night and not two so tried to come into room when we were in bed. Tea towel and shower mat would have been good.

Location was excellent and it was nice and quiet despite being next to the fire station - a real bonus! Neighbors were very helpful upon arrival when we couldn't get in.

Dirty, damp, no heating in bathroom , shower unusable, cracked mirror in bathroom, 1/4 roll of toilet roll and no have soap, only 1 glass to drink from, rubbish left in bin smelling of Chinese food which stank the whole place out, no parking space as advertised when asked why not was told we should have said we were driving !! Had to drive round the streets until we found somewhere then pay over £10 extra to park just didn’t care as didn’t answer phone or reply , only 1 flat pillow to use each, dirty bed linen and lumpy mattress .. oh and an old mattress just thrown outside for the view

When I searched for a room in Leicester, this one came up. The price and location were okay, but I failed to read the reviews. Big mistake; not only should I read them, but I should heed them too. I didn't mind too much the fact that the place is only about 50mtr away from the main Leicester Fire Station. The bedroom was on the ground floor, right next to the window with the ill-fitting blind, so laying there with the light on was a no-no. The bathroom smelt damp and musky, the window didn't have privacy glass, and there was an ill-fitting blind in there too; there wasn't any complimentary shower gel, shampoo, or even any liquid soap in the dispenser. The noise and shouting from other people living/staying there was unbearable at 4 am until I left at 7 am. This is something that has been mentioned in previous reviews, which I found out too late. To be really honest and frank, if you're really, really desperate for somewhere to stay in Leicester then give this place a try, but not for me.

Probably the best bit about the place was its location and its proximity to the train station, probably a 15-20 minute walk away. The bed was comfortable, the linen seemed clean. Oh, and the burger van across the street came in useful.
