How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Given the old chapel windows, they don't open, so hard to cool down the apartment. But there was a decent fan in the bedroom.
Great location, easy check in process and good facilities. Dog friendly. Great communication before.

Would have preferred a TV in the living space instead of the bedroom

Well planned, fully functional apartment. Well equipped, tea and coffee supplied. Cleanliness was excellent, nice quality bed linens. Easy access with codes so no keys to mislay. The huge windows made the apartment feel so spacious. All in all a great stay.

The bed was a little hard for me but my husband thought they were comfortable and the apartment was very hot but there was a fan and air-con which soon kicked in

Absolutely loved how comfortable and cozy the entire place felt. The place is centrally located within walking distance to shops and restaurants and town center. The entire place is spacious with all living amenities and cutlery provided. The host is readily accessible and went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Cannot recommend this place enough to travelers whether you're a family or a couple.

ideally I would have liked an easy chair, beanbag or small sofa to sit on in the kichen dining/sitting room downstairs. It's small and they have done a good job in not making it feel cramped. I have a personal preference for a small table and two regular chairs (maybe even folding and hung on the wall?) rather than the breakfast bar and stools, but the hosts have done a brilliant job of making the flat smart and welcoming.
Stylish apartments developed within the old chapel, making great use of the height of the rooms and the large windows. Very smartly decorated with interesting wall art. Excellent huge bed on the upper level, very comfortable, with a large high end en suite bathroom. Downstairs is open plan, kitchen, sitting room/dinng room. It's a bonus for us that our appt was pet friendly. It was scrupulously clean, and well presented with lovely bed linen and towels. The host could not have been more helpful and positive. Very last minute booking and all ready for us. Easy check in with a codes and messaging. Would definitely go back . Good value and in a sweet part of town.

A fantastic apartment, comfortable, light, very well presented, secure and well positioned. I stayed for a month here and Amy and Josh, and the cleaning staff, were very helpful and the apartment served me well for my stay in Penrith. I was very comfortable and had a wonderful time. Highly recommended.

Location is excellent, a few mins walk to the centre. Apartment was spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. Communication with hosts was clear and check in very easy. You are provided with codes before arrival. Using a keypad as opposed to keys was great when two separate couples sharing as it meant all could get in/out of the building as and when they needed without the fear of one couple being locked out :-D The area is lovely, lots of places to eat and drink and we would certainly re-visit and book these lovely apartments again.

No doors on bedrooms etc so if you take dogs they can roam freely unless you bring your own pen etc. No garden facility for dogs so you have to walk them for them to do their business. These things didnt affect our stay however as we were out most of the days and our dogs are very well house trained so I trust them while we sleep.
The property was very tidy and spacious. Open plan with a lovely kitchen diner and lounge area. Quiet area and not much noise from other apartments.

The lock to the apartment malfunctioned but the host team were really friendly and responsive and they sorted it out rapidly. The only improvement I would otherwise suggest would be a couple of comfortable chairs to sit in downstairs.
The property was really easy to find, 0.8 miles from train station. Parking was in the bus station car park nearby. A spar, fish and chip shop and several pubs and restaurants were all nearby. The property was nicely converted, with a downstairs kitchen/breakfast bar and upstairs bedroom/bathroom. It was a great base for a short break when we were out and about all day.

If I had to mention one thing is that it got really warm in the apartment, but they did provide a fan. Everything else 10/10!
The flat is great, and the hosts were very attentive and quick to respond to our messages. Very clean and in a great location by Penrith city centre.

Check out time was far too early. 10am?! We were on a break and had to get up before 9 to get ready to leave! 10am check out but 3pm check in doesn’t make sense.
The room was really clean, kitchen was well kitted out and the location was fantastic!
