No orange juice for breakfast, bigger lifts for size of hotel needed and blackout curtains (was facing east so up early with sun shining right into room). Pillows on bed not so good.

Hotel was comfortable and roomy, food at breakfast was good, very clean and cant hear other guests in their rooms. Bed was super large and comfortable.

Style, location & facilities. The design of the hotel is modern with an industrial edge. The gym was well equipped for weights & cardio for a handful of people. The king room was lovely - comfortable & clean with good views from floor 9. Also noticed how quiet it was in terms of noise transference from other guests.

Restaurant too expensive. Bar and room service closes too early and prices of alcohol in lobby fridge very very expensive. Pillows could be better

The breakfast was disappointing no sausage left and breakfast had just over an hour to go before it finished. The bacon was hard and rubbery. Shame as this was the only thing that let it down

On the first day of our stay there was a fire alarm in the afternoon. We evacuated down to the lobby where other guests were milling about. Nobody seemed to have a clue what was going on, nothing was being communicated to the guests at all. My wife and I found a seat and waited, and waited, and waited. Eventually I asked a young guy at receptions and he said "Oh, it was just a false alarm" I asked why this hadn't been communicated to us guests and he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I appreciate that alarms can go off, not the issue but surely customer service should be high on the priority list?

The breakfast was generally very good, major disappointment was the lack of a fruit salad, surprising at the price being charged. The bar in the evenings only had a few beers on draft despite what looked to be an excellent selection. I felt sorry for the bar staff being constantly asked for drinks and having to explain that they didn't actually have them. Very poor. Bathroom was excellent, great to have an extractor fan that actually works and the shower was superb. Obviously a very high spec bathroom but a toilet seat that looked like it cost no more than £2.50. Bed was so comfortable, I seldom sleep well away from home but the bed was exceptional.

The room was very warm, even with the heating turned off, but it wasn't possible to sleep with the window open due to road noise. There was a fan in the wardrobe which I imagine will be used by every guest in the summer as there isn't any air conditioning. We had to turn the fridge off because the compressor had broken and it was very noisy. We informed reception and agreed to leave it off as we weren't using it. Hopefully it got replaced after we'd checked out. There isn't any low lighting in the bathroom, so night time visits were a bit of a shock to the system.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were able to check in early and even got a little treat (a Tunnocks wafer) from someone. Breakfast was good, nice variety and well stocked, although I would have liked to see dried fruit and nuts to add to the granola. The room was good, with a very comfortable bed. We were on the 8th floor and had fantastic views over the western side of the city with beautiful sunsets on both nights. Location was great for a planned visit to the Tenement House, also close to Charing Cross station for travel further afield. We could see The Kings Theatre from our room, so I'd say it's an excellent location if you're looking for a hotel for a theatre trip (they do pre-theatre dinner in the restaurant too). It's about a 20 minute walk along St Vincent Street to reach the city centre, which was fine for us.

Is a really lovely hotel from the reception to the room and the staff were very accommodating. Would really recommend this hotel to everyone.

The lifts! We made many friends waiting for the lifts, collectively making fun of how SLOW they were. Hotel staff and guests all use the only two lifts on the premises, and that is not ideal! Also, the room got hot (in April), but the provided fan was a lifesaver. The construction all around is inconvenient for those with cars.

We got an 8th floor room with city view which was great. Very comfortable mattress. Clean. Bathroom was a nice size. On-site parking (although limited and very, very tight). Breakfast was great. FYI, paying in advance unlocks substantial savings.
