How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We were told via booking.com.that our request (dog).could be accommodated with no extra charge. But when we arrived we were charged £15

Felt there was a lack of security, in that, You could just walk into the hotel lift/stairs area without any key security to open. Our walls shook when our neighbours left their room.
Good quiet location, easy to walk to the city centre and upper Sauchiehall street. The room and shower room were both clean, a good size, nice shower/hair gel, pleasantly surprised with a fridge/microwave. iron & hairdryer. Good full length mirror and big windows for good day light. Gym and recreational areas in the lobby area. Parking spaces available.

Bad connection between reception and cleaning stuff, even we emphasized them to clean the room, they didnt.

It was quite tricky to find by car because of road works. And there wasn't anywhere to drop off bags easily unless you manage to get in the on site parking which was limited and very tight once it had mostly filled up.
Staff were helpful and the facilities were great (gym, pool table, bar, lobby/lounge area). Bed was big and everything seemed to have been recently refurbished. Good location too, easy walk into town.

Not very clean, bad planning when we arrived they kept us 30 minutes waiting in the hall since the room wasn’t ready. The staff were very polite and kind with us after all.

Light coming into the room in the morning - black out curtains but should have had a pelmet as light was streaming in at the top and sides of the window.

Breakfast is slightly overpriced for what you really get. Some of the food was a bit bland and felt like budget bought in items which was disappointing. Really not much to say other than that! Fabulous stay again.
Absolutely stunning decor and interior. Very true to Scotland and Glasgow with the in room portraits with some Scottish slang - love the Irn Bru cushion (can I get one please? 😂) room is just the right space no areas wasted. Bathroom is absolutely stunning the shower is probably the best I've ever used in a hotel by far with lots of room and options for waterfall and traditional. Very clean and pristine. Chop Bar and Grill is a lovely area and can imagine some drinks here at night would be a fabulous end to any stay. staff are wonderful and very helpful

We loved our stay here. The room and bathroom were both spotless, the bed was very comfy. The decor of the hotel was definitely to our taste, we loved the wee touches like the prints and cushions in the room. Staff were super helpful and friendly. The car park is a bit of a squeeze, but thankfully I have a small car and it was fine enough for our stay. We'd recommend this hotel to anyone, and will definitely be back!

Only issue we had was the type of shower we had could have done with some sort of door as a lot of water sprayed onto the floor soaking the mat.
Very modern, clean and nice decor. Room layout was nice and city views from the 8th floor. Nice light feature above the bed and bathroom was clean & modern

Quality of the breakfast was poor, probably one of the wort I’ve experienced in a ‘quality’ hotel. Decidedly average quality and choice for the additional cost. Would have been better off going out locally.
