Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomUnnecessary complicated lighting system. Not particularly well equipped kitchen and nowhere to store food other than the fridge. No dining table and chairs. Tired bed linen but a comfortable bed. Parking tight. Outside area scruffy. Seating and table would be nice. Shower room cramped.
Excellent location.

United KingdomApart from the bathroom which i will address further on this is an exceptionally well laid out modern refitted yet still cozy cornish barn type cottage. It is quiet, cozy, has lovely views of St Michaels Mount from its own hidden away private courtyard. A real Gem!!! Although seating and table could to with a clean! Inside all snug with lovely clever modern lighting systems that make for the atmosphere and underfloor heating. Everything you could need was provided apart from maybe a microwave. But not so good for the bathroom or shoebox should i say?! Its beautifully fitted but no use for anyone bigger than a field mouse. I ended up using the public toilets across the road as there just isnt any room if youre a 6ft 4" rugby player build. Decapitation would have been an option for me to have used the shower as the door opens against the wash basin and has its framework lower than my head All this aside i still love the place and bathroom probably would be acceptable to anyone under 5'10" and leas than 12st!

United KingdomA small table would be nice. The lighting and heating controls seemed overly technical.
Location was excellent. we could walk everywhere in Marazion. It is an ideal location for visits to St Michael's mount. Once we got the hang of the light switches it was good to be able to set the lighting at the flick of a switch.

United KingdomI thought there might be some milk upon arrival so I had to venture out and pick some up which wasn't a huge issues. The bathroom is a bit of a squeeze so worth knowing!
I liked having the whole space to myself. The bedroom was very comfortable and it had all the facilities you needed. The apartment was also very warm which was ideal for February.

United KingdomThe ad said that there was parking and it was only after I had paid that I was informed that there was only limited parking on a first come basis, not a problem in February but I imagine quite frustrating at peak season and therefore the ad was misleading.

United KingdomShower room is very tiny, No salt or pepper in kitchen and a pint of milk would have been appreciated. Small milk pan and smaller oven dish would have been useful.. plus a dishcloth. It would have been lovely to simply be able to turn on one bedside light without negotiating the fancy lighting system.
Lovely and cosy. Beautifully clean.

United KingdomA basic microwave would be useful and a few more kitchen utensils. ( We love to cook.). No hand towel in the kitchen. It’s a very small apartment and we knew that there was no dining facility, but a small table and chairs under the window or a fold up set would have made all the difference to eating more comfortably. No room diffuser in living space and bathroom. Cushions on the sofa bed could do with refreshing Imo. These are suggestions not criticism’s! Overall an enjoyable stay. Thank you 😊
Nice decor, clean, comfortable bed , smart lighting, smart TV and spectacular location with a lovely view of the Mount from the decking. Free parking on site. Excellent value!

United KingdomThe blinds are white/cream so whilst beautiful, they didn't serve a purpose and we woke very early. A welcome pack possibly with milk? Just nice to have in when you arrive after a long journey. The courtyard is beautiful but we did visit at the end of May and it had still not been attended to. Couldn't sit on the top decked area. It wasn't like in the pictures Overall though i would definitely return.
Ive stayed in Marazion a few times over the years and loved the location and the property had been done to a very high standard. It was immaculate on arrival, comfy bed and spacious living area. It was quiet and private, great to have an outdoor courtyard. Kitchen was well equipped, just lacking in a cupboard to pop your shopping. I was with my little boy so we ate in few times. A welcome guide to help you work everything was great. Lovely and cool during hot weather with wooden floors.
