The hut is beautiful, great location in the countryside but close enough to Church Stretton to enjoy the local eateries. Great facilities, I loved the lake/pond very relaxing to swim in. Bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well. We had a brilliant time and would definitely like to stay again some time!

Our stay at Sapphire exceeded expectations. This is the perfect place to stay to get away from every day life. It is a peaceful location in the middle of nature. The surrounding towns are great to visit too. Loved every minute of our stay. Thank you.

This place is a little gem, I wanted to be off grid and wake up on New Year's day in the forest and that's what I did, it was perfect and the hosts are really friendly.

    Lovely cosy shepherds hut

There weren’t any shower facilities at the time of our stay but a shower hut is being built for future visitors. This doesn’t detract from the lovely rural location and shepherds hut. Once you get used to the back to nature vibe, you do get used to enjoying the great outdoors and the getting back to nature vibe that the hosts are offering. The shepherds hut is very cosy and comfy and the surroundings are lovely and quiet

Very tranquil and rural setting. Eco friendly accommodation and facilities. Back to nature. The hosts have worked very hard to make the shepherds hut and surroundings very eco friendly. Lovely log burner inside shepherds hut which was so welcome after a long days riding and getting wet due to rain. Really warmed the place up and allowed us to dry our clothing and warm ourselves. Very cosy

Two days without a good wash/shower is fine. Four days?

The Shepherd’s hut was immaculate. The amenities were,as expected, basic. The location was idyllic . We are through and through walkers, whereby we like to park the car up and walk. It is not a walker’s paradise by any means.

All about getting back to nature and the simple things in life, the shepherd's hut is a lovely place to be. We swam in the pool, enjoyed the duck eggs for breakfast and had a meal in the local pub, only five minutes walk away. Cooking outdoors was a great experience and swimming with the koi fish in the natural pool was something we both enjoyed. Using the compost loo was definitely a new experience 🙂 It's was as fun as camping but with a great ethos. It's all about making use of what you have and enjoying life as we were meant to enjoy it. It brought out the inner child in us both and we came back looking forward to home but with a new appreciation for the things we have. Life is so busy and it's places like this that remind us to slow down and take it all in. Loved it.

The hosts were great ,the place was so peaceful, everyone should experience this place and go back to basics , and get back in touch with nature

If there was access to a shower at some point in future, that would make me think of staying longer than a couple of days

Location was great, lovely views. It was great that we could come and go from the lodge and felt welcome in the grounds.

Perfect for a retreat, cosy private cabin with a lovely seated area around a lake. The option of swimming or going in a boat on the small lake was taken advantage of too. Located very close to the village (5 min walk), beautiful surroundings.

A real pleasure to stay somewhere who's active permaculture is seen in all the birds trees and widlife. We we're given a guided tour of the woods which the owners had planted themselves, a real privilege to stay there.

The hut was too close to the hosts accommodation. We came to get away from civilization and stay in a cabin in the woods, however, it felt we were too close. The hut was so hot at night but the windows didn't open (and we were unable to open the door due to bugs). A net window would have been amazing. There was other dogs at the property - we didn't mind as our dog is friendly but it's important to know.

The hut was beautiful. It had a massive bed and. Lovely fire that kept us warm. The hosts have clearly thought of everything as we had all we need, including perfectly cut wood for the log fire. The lake was amazing and a 2 minutes walk from the hut. There was a place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Kitchen facilities were outside and well made so it was easy to cook. Loved that it was dog friendly.
