Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOne bathroom very nice the other the showers could do with updating as door was broken on one and the other very slippy to get into. The shower with the broken door was either too hot or to cold
Location very remote in a beautiful little valley. Snow covered on arrival glad we had a 4x4. Pizza on arrival were excellent and wood fired perfect. Our Scottish breakfast was more than you could imagine. Freindly hosts, cleaned our room everyday thanks. Only 50 mins from glenshee for skiing with beautiful scenery for the whole drive. I would stay again

United KingdomLast strech of the road was a bit too bumpy but still can be managed with a normal car. But definitely not for a sport car with lowered suspension :)
The room is nothing fancy but it was clean and spacious. The hosts were very welcoming and the home cooked food was fantastic. The middle of nowehere location with beautiful view was just the cherry on top.

United Kingdom- Need a lotto win to buy a meal here. - The 1 mile track leading up to the property is NOT SUITABLE for any vehicle with the exception of a tractor or an off-road vehicle as the large stone / hard-core ( and pot-holed) track is unsuitable for cars - they will definitely sustain some level of damage , to some degree. The owners should have a big ⚠️ warning ⚠️ sign on all of their advertisements to warn of unsuitability for cars , seriously.
Cheap.

FranceThe other people who stayed in the home was kind of noisy and it was difficult for us to sleep. But it was not the fault of Olga ;)
Olga and her husband were very nice and accommodating, it was a real pleasure to stay at this place.

United KingdomMy mattress was a bit soft.
Arrived late, with my dog as company- around 10:00pm, and hungry. The hosts set to work and served up a restaurant quality plateful of fresh ravioli in a cream sauce, served with fresh bread. Absolutely perfect. I had my own beer which served me well, but there were alternative accompaniments on offer. An extra treat was the delight of dining outside in the gloaming of the Angus glen that the Scotland Paradise Relax rests in. I watched as the sun dipped below the hill tops, and it felt very special. Breakfast - unbelievably, was even better. An enormous plate that drowned under the weight of sausages, mushrooms, eggs, bacon, tomatoes and hash browns. Served with fresh fruit juice, and a smile. Sachets and sauces provided, with butter and warm bread. Fresh fruit too! I had brought coffee bags of my own, and it was perfect. Again, the sun shone upon me as I breakfasted outside, gazing upon the cattle that grazed below, and listening to a skylark - invisibly calling for its mate in warm air above. My bedroom was large, furnished with the vernacular Scottish furniture you’d expect. Four steps to the shared bathroom, but feeling very secure. My dog settled without distraction on her blanket and I slept well. The buildings are workaday, and although built as utilitarian farm cottages, offer quite roomy accommodation - but it is their location that elevates this glorious place to the fabulous. The shower was excellent, and the housekeeping clearly executed with pride. The sincere and fulsome welcome from the attentive hosts is what impresses, and lingers most in my memory. All in all, a place to bookmark for return.

New ZealandIf you want fluffy bedding and an ensuite bathroom this is not for you. If you want a stunning location at the end of the road, birdsong in the morning, farm animals all around then I highly recommend this property. And chef does a good job.

PolandGo there only if you have proper SUV. With smaller cars it could be difficult. Also one of the pillows didn’t smell as it was washed.
Amazing, extremly remote place not far from Carringorms National Park. We had all bathrooms for ourself, since there were no other guests, so it definetly helped.

Alessandro and Olga are lovely hosts. Alessandro is a wonderful chef and Olga is a very attentive host. The place is very unique and we loved it. The location is beautiful and peaceful although the access road is a bit bumpy and steep at the club which can be tricky in the ice.
