Food and drink themselves were nice but the staff were painfully slow and inconsistent. Items were missed from the order and on more than one occasion waiting over 25 minutes for a single drink order. I will add this was midweek and so fairly quiet.

You decided to shut the bar at 11am sharp when there was clearly a lot of a pre-wedding party still wanting to spend time and money drinking and socialising ahead of a wedding the next day.

Squeeky floor.. breakfast was really good but on our last day it was really busy and standard of breakfast and some staff was pretty poor. Quite unhelpful when we tried for an early check in which we offered to pay extra.. complimentary water pretty standard everywhere but not here and ar £3 a small bottle that is a poor show in today's hotels

The facilities are exceptional. The hotel manages to still retain a lovely, relaxed, calm feel about it even though it is such a large hotel. Outside space is delightful, especially on a sunny day. The view is outstanding, but attention to detail really makes this hotel. Spa and pool area is wonderful and relaxing. We did part of the ayrshire coastal path on a beautiful sunny day, and coming back to the hotel was the perfect end to a lovely day. Breakfast and evening meal were suoerb and breakfast is also very well oganised for the morning rush! The staff were great , helpful, and very pleasant at all times. . We will be back. I just loved it!

Staff not the best. Warm beer. Not overly pleasant. Always seems to be young staff these days that dont seem interested on the job.

The pool not warm jacuzzi the same and sauna out of order . The steam room wasn't great either. We spoke both with club members and other guests and they felt the same.

Stains on bed runner, empty cardboard box and random socks in wardrobe. Lots of kids in pool so not super relaxing!

On our first evening (03/04/24) we ate in the hotel bar, the food was good and at first so was the the service. When we had finished eating we waited at least 20 minutes if not longer to have our table cleared, in the end we had to catch the attention of a member of staff and request our table be cleared. Not really that big an issue but to then have to waiting even longer while the waiter we asked chose to go and find a different member of staff to come and actually clear our table while he proceeded to then clear a different table near by where the guests from that table had already left was disappointing and lead to us find alternative arrangements down the road for our other evening meals.

A super warm welcome from Kirsty on reception who was super helpful and went above our expectations to help us with travel plans to ensure we arrived in good time for an appointment we had during our visit.

Staff was friendly however not very well trained. Our food got mixed up and so did the drinks and also the bill. Everything got fixed very quickly though.
